Hope so.Probably doesn’t apply to a late bloomer picked in the second round.

Yep. Mitchell was a great example. Played what, 2 or 3 SL games and destroyed in those games then didn't play another one. He would have absolutely been the choice that year but he only played a couple games. That's generally the way it goes. All star caliber draft picks probably won’t win this because they will only play a game or two usually. That’s why it’s rare.
Its a longevity award!Yep. Mitchell was a great example. Played what, 2 or 3 SL games and destroyed in those games then didn't play another one. He would have absolutely been the choice that year but he only played a couple games. That's generally the way it goes.
So you are saying Ben Simmons won it?Its a longevity award!
I dunno, man. I'm sorta of the old Quin Snyder philosophy on "juice". Players ultimately succeed or fail—and teams see leaps in their ability to compete—based on how much juice they play with.Agreed. that was a "best pass of the entire nba season" type pass. On the one hand it was awesome. On the other hand I wonder if he should even be attempting those kinds of passes in a real meaningful game. Its like when tht would make an insane circus shot. It was like, cool but dont do that again please.
Are you sure. I could’ve swore he played more, but you might be right.Yep. Mitchell was a great example. Played what, 2 or 3 SL games and destroyed in those games then didn't play another one. Real GM page for DM says he played three in SLC and then two in Vegas. 5 total, but not enough in Vegas to be considered for the award there, I'm sure. In those two Vegas games, btw, he scored 28 ppg on 36/27/88% shooting, with 6 steals and 4 TOs per game. Are you sure. I could’ve swore he played more, but you might be right.
