2025 Utah Jazz All-Time Bad Draft

Sober's All Time Bad Jazz Team:

Duck Williams
Gordan Giricek
Scott Padgett
Jeremy Evans
Olden Polynice
Thats real good. I think you are the leader so far.

Edit: Just saw Thee and GunterD teams. Nevermind. This is tough. A total **** show of teams.

I haven't read the entire thread, but surely someone's mentioned Milt Palacio. You know, the journeyman worse than replacement player Jerry Sloan stubbornly started and played ahead of Deron Williams during Deron's rookie year. Sloan had some "old school" rationale for it, I'm sure, which just goes to show that old school doesn't necessarily mean good school.

yeah he went at the end of round 1

I rank Keith McCloud as a better player than milt Palacio. But holy crap they both sucked so bad and both were ahead of deron fricking Williams in the rotation lol.

SG: Ochai Agbaji

PG: Talen Horton-Tucker
SG: Ochai Agbaji
SF: Sasha Pavlovic
PF: Boris Diaw
C: Enes “Freedom” Kanter

This feels like the most realistic lineup I've seen so far here. Like my memory on when all these guys were on the team is shaky enough that I bet in 10 years if you told me this was an actual lineup the Jazz put on the floor in the post-Williams era, I would believe you.

I'm being unfair here. D will entered the starting lineup in game 9 of his rookie year and played over 28 minutes per game his rookie year.
My memory tells me that it was late in the season when sloan put d will in the starting lineup but my memory sucks apparently.

Yeah he gained the starting job quick then in the middle of the season he got benched. Lol

I think you're not. Basketball Reference has Dwill starting only 47 games that year. Says he started games 9-28 (with one game missed), but then went back to the bench for games 29-54, before starting the rest of the way. It also says McCleod started 32 and Palacio started 18 with a stretch that they apparently both started together.

Besides Jonas, I was/am a fan of all the players you selected. That said, this team would still be terrible, although this team would probably be very solid defensively.

Good. I stave off dementia for another day

Carlos Arroyo
Jamaal Tinsley
Thabo Sefolosha
Curtis Borchardt
Jarron Collins
Is it cheating to start 2 point guards and two centers?
Tinsley was one of those dudes who sucked really bad but who I really enjoyed. Probably just that he had Burks around him to help him glow up.

Oof. I think we have a winner. You nailed every pick.

Ya that team averages about 70 ppg lol. No one can put the ball in the hoop.
