What's new

Following Potential 2026 Draftees

I don't have any strong opinions right now. I'm too unfamiliar with high school film to know what good looks like.

- When I've watched Peterson in full games he has missed a lot of shots and taken a lot of possessions off on defense. I don't see how scouts are ranking him above other guys that have looked a lot better than him, but I've only seen a fraction of his games and again, I'm not sure what I'm really looking at with high school ball.
- Boozer looks incredibly skilled for his size, it really stands out. He also is a little slow footed, even at the high school level. I'm concerned about his ability to play high level defense.
- A.J. is all around good, but the biggest thing is he didn't really improve a lot this year. I watched him in the NIke Hoops summit last year and this year, and they were about the same. Development isn't linear though, so maybe he's due to break through a wall.
- Tounde is the guy I hadn't heard of until the McDonald's game that really excites me. From the limited games I've seen from him, I would think he would be ranked with the other guys.

Again, I'm excited for the NCAA season to get started so I can actually form some real opinions on these guys.
Boozer has really quick feet. You must have not seen him lock up AJ in their matchup when he guarded him.

I've seen the most of Boozer out of anyone in this class (probably 6 or 7 games). He's smart and is good at anticipating, but he's not quick. He was just an ok defender at the high school level, which leads me to believe he'll be poor in the NCAA and NBA.

I definitely could be wrong. I've already admitted my shortcomings for evaluating high school players.

Idk what kind of quickness you are expecting, but when I see him he looks like he can guard 2-5 in the NBA and his foot speed at his weight is really impressive.

I do worry about the whole tweener thing, but he seems to be unique with his level of feel/handle and all around game on both ends that most tweeners don't have.

I'm very far from married to any of my pre-college takes. We'll see how he looks at Duke.

I really do love his offensive game, so if he can look like an at least average defender I could easily have him first on board.

boozer never "locked up" aj. in fact, when i read that i thought you must be joking. every time they played, aj had huge games - as did boozer, but boozer wasn't locking anybody up, let alone AJ
He did. Stats dont show everything and he doesnt get to guard him every possession.
