Eurobasket 2025

Being that scoring and rebounding are the most important stats for that position, that seems to infer that Lauri is better, no?

Not like Hayward was a defensive stalwart. He was a better passer but that's still 2/3 categories for Lauri...
But that’s all he did. Hayward did pretty much everything and he was a really good defender

Also scorers are dime a dozen, hell if you played Brice 30 min a game he could easily score you 20 a game. Imo

Hayward best year: 21.9 PPG on 47% from the field, 40% from three (5 attempts per game), 84% from the line. Efg 53.6%

Lauri best year: 25.6 PPG on 50% from the field, 39% from three (7.7 attempts per game), 87.5 from the line. Efg 58.6

Hayward 5.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Lauri 8.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

I take Lauri but it's pretty close. I also wonder how Lauri would look with better teammates and a team goal of trying to win basketball games.

Who would you guys rather have be on the Rudy/Donovan teams, Lauri or Hayward (simply from a basketball standpoint)?

As to who’s better, we’ll have to see what Lauri’s post-retirement looks like because Gordon is already hitting up the podcasts.

For everyone who want to trade Lauri for a salary dump and think that Lauri doesnt have it and think that intentionally tanking all season didnt somehow affect Lauris numbers...

SUCK IT!!!

He is going to be just fine.

Two things you are overlooking. 1 Hayward was a strong defender on the perimeter and he played on a much better team. Best player on a rebuilding team will have more inflated stats. Hayward was a floor setter that didn’t dominate the ball to extreme levels he was a ball mover who could score shoot and set up teammates at a decent level.

I didn't overlook any of that.
I take Lauri

Lauri is taller, a better shooter earlier in his career, a bigger mismatch for the playoffs, and he has succeeded without the same level of talent around him.

Gordon was great but his wife was hot garbage and he was a terrible writer... unless you were Jeremy Evans...

For those and many other reasons, Lauri!!!
