Charlie Kirk shot at UVU event

Also. in a town hall, some Republican said in response to people telling him that people are going to die because of the cuts to Medicaid that "We all die eventually." Or something to that effect.

This just happened to be when Charlie Kirk died.
His eventually came sooner. Oh well, right? Isn't that the attitude we should all have? Oh well? **** any Republican who supports anyone who even remotely holds that viewpoint. Or any Democrat for that matter, if they hold a similar view. What the **** is happening to our country?

Honestly the answer is unbridled social media and American Neo-fascism.

Love the ignorance. RICO is not a tool for banning anything, let alone a political party. It is a class of criminal offense.

But I say F it! Ban the democratic party using RICO for the killing of a political social media influencer. And at the same time ban the Republican party for the assassination of Democratic politicians earlier this year.

No more parties!
I could get behind that. My wife already showed me posts from conservatives on Facebook saying "what a tragedy" about Kirk and when asked about the ones killed earlier this year they replied "no big loss". And that is how American democracy and the American dream of our grandparents die.

Don't go searching for this on Twitter. The video is brutal. Pretty obvious from the amount of blood released in the first 5 seconds that there is no way he survives it. Aren't we all so glad Twitter became a ****ing cesspool under Musk so these things have a safe haven in their uncensored brutality? **** Musk. Kirk's family does not need to see this **** plastered all over Twitter.
I'm working at a Coke plant in Billing MT this week and the young people who work there (I'm a field service tech, so I don't work for Coke) we watching the video over and over in the break room. Complimenting the shooter's skill, imagining that the gun must be amazing, etc..

Yep. Just like what happened to the Minnesota Democratic politicians. The killer had a list of left politicians and targets (planned Parenthood) to assassinate.
Only difference I can see is that planned Parenthood and those Democratic politicians weren't using thier platforms to go around and spread hateful ideologies and intentionally try to stir up trouble.
@cctrackstar care to comment on fish's post?

I agree with both sentiments, we cannot allow political violence to be the solution regardless of who we agree or disagree with. NO ONE should be killed or assassinated or even punched in the face just because someone disagrees with what they say. That's the beginning of a violent regime, and completely unamerican. No one should threaten napalm in the morning on an American city, that just feeds the fire of violence. How do we get those politicians to stop espousing violence.

I honestly did Google to try to find any comment from any Democratic politician that could be taken in any way to encourage violence, even on Twitter, but there aren't any examples of that. Plenty from the right though, directly from politicians, and especially from Trump. Can we agree that politicians encouraging violence is a bad thing?

I seriously wish I had seen this before someone sent me the clip you most likely are referring to. I saw his neck explode, his head fall lifelessly to the side, and blood squirting out like a gusher like something out of saving private Ryan. Truly one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen. Now they have a warning label on it but at the time it didn’t. Also not sure what I was expecting so that was dumb on my part.

Social media is the worst.

well and mental health. We have to focus on mental health. A gun is just a hammer or screw driver. Mental illness or health is the key. Or something.

The person of interest was released.
It was this guy named Zinn. He has a long history of doing weird things at poltical events. He’s pretty old so it’s weird that people thought he might’ve been the shooter. Can’t imagine he’d have a steady hand.

I saw a video where the shooter was on top of the sparks building. That’s a ways away from the triangle where he was speaking. Like a really far distance. This guy likely was a military trained gun nut or some crazy person. I’d be shocked if it were some normal gun person. That’s just such a long distance from where Kirk was.

I’ll admit that I’m interested in who this shooter is and what weapon he used. Not because I think it’s cool but because it’s horrifying. If you can kill someone at the far edge of the triangle from the building he was on top of, literally no where on that campus would be safe. It’s horrifying.

I'm just going to focus on thoughts and prayers. Like I'm gonna pray SUPER HARD. So ****ing hard it'll make god's head spin. And of course I'm gonna think about it almost as hard as I pray about it. But I'm gonna think about it a lot. Like almost commensurate with how hard I pray. Basically I'm going to think about it every waking second. But since I probably won't be thinking about it while I sleep I'm just going to hope that praying until I sweat works. If not at least he'll have my thoughts.

It's just completely infesting twitter, because conservatives who have taken over Twitter are so concerned about peace.

Used to be and probably still is the most conservative university in the most conservative state in the most conservative county. I think it was during trump's first term they arrested a kid going there who had a very detailed mass shooting plan. Lots of crazies in this area.

Frankly it really is the key. Unfortunately, just like when you have to remove sharp objects from people who are suicidal, we need to remove the tools of destruction while we heal our society. But I'd love nothing more than to see mental health be a real point of discussion and action in regards to this stuff. But it's just a sad excuse right now.

Just like the crazy liberal gun nut who shot Trump.

Oh wait....

If you invest in health care then how will you pay for tax cuts for billionaires and a gigantic military?
