Compare this to some of the awful rhetoric on the right from when the Minnesota politicians were killed. Or from when Paul Pelosi was beaten. Or from when _____ (enter any recent school shooting, cop beating up a black person, and ICE deportation of an innocent brown person).

Anyone else remember when Trump accused Pelosi of being beaten by his “gay lover?” Yes, we need to tone down the vile rhetoric. But it starts at the top!

Couldn't read past page two due to the hate and neurotic comments. He was shot by a rooftop assassin, not an out of control protestor. these type of people will get their guns whether it is legal or not. he openly went against the left just like President Trump and he got shot just like President Trump did. it was declared a political assassination by the authorities. do i agree with all the ways that President Trump does things? no, but that's another discussion. if the response to stating one's opinion is assassination killing then this is no longer a free country.

Or... It was an inside job by the right to plunge us into further division. It worked once when Trumpdy Dumpty had to wear a maxipad on his ear for about 72 hours, why not do it again? See, we can engage in conspiracy theories too. In other words, you don't know ****.

Yep. Just like what happened to the Minnesota Democratic politicians. The killer had a list of left politicians and targets (planned Parenthood) to assassinate.
Only difference I can see is that planned Parenthood and those Democratic politicians weren't using thier platforms to go around and spread hateful ideologies and intentionally try to stir up trouble.

I think my voting history indicates that I am pretty much a moderate as my ballots usually are about 60% republican and 40% democrat. I vote for the person, not the party. Since people on this thread want to bring everything back to presidential politics, I didn't like either candidate this time. One was way too harsh and needs to know when to shut up, but the other was completely incompetent. Lose/lose situation. Either way would go badly. Either way, it is sick and wrong to murder anyone due to political views and then celebrate their death as being justified or deserved.

The funny thing is, and what really makes it ironic, is that Charlie Kirk literally said it's justified to have dead children, among others, to maintain our 2nd amendment rights. He justified school shootings this way. With his own words, he would view his own death as a necessary evil for having the 2nd amendment rights we have. Do his followers believe what he said, or only as long as people they don't like or don't know are the ones being "sacrificed"?

My daughter and son-in-law went there. We haven't had a chance to discuss it yet from this viewpoint, but I'll ask them when I get a chance.
