Our government is creepy:

Not that we didn't already know that they are going to bring everything they use in war zones to the streets of America eventually because we are the ones with wealth that they are taking after all and we're going to reach a breaking point that they are going to need to crack down on us to survive, but holy cow, I was thinking maybe 10-20 drones for the big cities, maybe one drone for mid-sized towns. 30,000 blows my mind. And since that's a government number, 100,000 is probably more realistic.

Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s … a drone, and it’s watching you. That’s what privacy advocates fear from a bill Congress passed this week to make it easier for the government to fly unmanned spy planes in U.S. airspace.
The FAA Reauthorization Act, which President Obama is expected to sign, also orders the Federal Aviation Administration to develop regulations for the testing and licensing of commercial drones by 2015.
The agency projects that 30,000 drones could be in the nation’s skies by 2020.
