Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s … a drone, and it’s watching you. That’s what privacy advocates fear from a bill Congress passed this week to make it easier for the government to fly unmanned spy planes in U.S. airspace.

The FAA Reauthorization Act, which President Obama is expected to sign, also orders the Federal Aviation Administration to develop regulations for the testing and licensing of commercial drones by 2015.

The agency projects that 30,000 drones could be in the nation’s skies by 2020.

Not that we didn't already know that they are going to bring everything they use in war zones to the streets of America eventually because we are the ones with wealth that they are taking after all and we're going to reach a breaking point that they are going to need to crack down on us to survive, but holy cow, I was thinking maybe 10-20 drones for the big cities, maybe one drone for mid-sized towns. 30,000 blows my mind. And since that's a government number, 100,000 is probably more realistic.

There's been a lot that has happened the past few weeks that makes me reevaluate who I want to see in the WH. Paul is looking awfully attractive and it will take a visionary such as himself to right this ship. Sadly he will never get the chance and there is nobody on the horizon that can.

Americans are so self involved that before we know what has hit us any freedom we have left will be gone in the name of "safety and rights" .

The good news is that there is too much information out there already for Americans to ever be as docile as previous populaces have been under the 20th century-type authoritarian regimes. So even if most appear under a spell of apathy right now, I think the paralysis would fade in a heat of the moment situation. I think people just don't know what to do but more than we think sense something is amiss.

But yeah, the Occupy Wall Street thing wasn't the peak of protests in this country. Most everybody that is not directly involved with the government and that is in a position of power knows civil unrest is coming to America on a larger scale eventually and a lot have been saying as much publicly lately, and obviously by the way the government is preparing, they are well aware that that's going to be the case as well. The only question is how long cheap money can keep a failing economy afloat.

Because that great amerrkin Ron Paul is demanding the government insure his wealth by socializing his costs but privatizing his profits? What a true free marketeer!

Ron Paul is a kook and a commie. This nation would fall to China the day after his policy choices went into effect.
