I thought that title might get some views, lol.

So I had a minor accident that is turning into a major deal. I have a staph infection through a cut in my big toe and it won't go away. On my 2nd round of antibiotics and antibiotic ointment, soaking my foot 4-5 times per day as I can, except on work days of course. Limiting walking, all that jazz, but the sucker will not heal. Any ideas? They are talking possible surgery to remove infected tissue. Luckily it has at least been contained, swelling at a minimum, etc. But I do not want surgery. Yikes. Any thoughts?

I will tell you, when it rains, it pours. Damn.

Have the surgery. Had a friend get one that was treated only with antibiotics on her leg. They had to amputate from the knee down.
