The Jazz Have to Make a Hard Push for Rondo

Haha. Here's Yahoo (Canada)

LOTS of sources on this, just google search for Rondo Gasol Trade.

No, there are not "lots of sources" on this. This was just speculative garbage made up by Eric Pincus. He took something Buss said and then added 1+1 to get 35. This is the same guy who ran into Boozer at Best Buy, and then began reporting Boozer to LA as a basically a done deal. As recently as this year, he also reported Millsap to LA as a rumor. This guy flat out makes **** up, and then just hopes something will stick.

People that think he's overrated seriously are clueless when it comes to basketball. Is he the greatest shooter? No, but he attacks the rim strong, passes, plays d, plays with emotion and passion, and the list goes on.

Yep, I like that when he is open for 3, instead of shooting it, he just uses the space available to attack the rim.

Celtics send: Rajon Rondo & Jermaine O'Neal
Jazz send: Al Jefferson & Gordon Hayward
Jefferson sucks. Jefferson can't play on a winning team. Jefferson can't defend. Jefferson doesn't make his teammates better. Jefferson is a black hole. Jefferson sucks against the Lakers. Why does Hayward suck? Why can't Hayward make a layup? Why can't Hayward rebound. What has happened to Hayward's 3pt shot? Why can't Hayward be Paul George. But oh yeah! Boston would totally love to give up their best trade asset to get both of these guys!

1. Boston believes Rondo's worth alot more than Big Al and Hayward. He's their only token to rebuilding quickly once the window officially closes on the Big-3. It should be apparent by now that Big Al isn't a piece you build around if you have championship aspirations like the Celtics do - he's a piece you get if your team wants to tread water.

2. Rondo also is not the missing piece this Utah Jazz team needs - unless we plan on simultaneously surrounding Rondo with above-average talent at the 2, 3 and 4.

IMO Jefferson would be a good fit for Boston. They don't run and their spacing would make doubling AJ very difficult. It is not inconceivable that they would value him highly.

Personally I would rather include the GS pick than Hayward. Then again I tend to undervalue draft picks compared to most fans.

So one knock on his game and you don't like him?

Jazz fans want a point guard with Rose's ability to attack the rim, Paul's ability to probe the defense, Rondo's perimeter defense, Russell Westbrook's first step, Steph Curry's shooting touch, Steve Nash's passing ability with Kyrie Irving's upside on a NBA minimum contract. Is that too much to ask for?

Rondo is not overrated,we are overrating our players.when we lose, most of us call our players garbage, junk, trash,we want to send them to d-league.when it comes to trade ideas, all of a sudden they get sooo ****in valuable.

if i suggest we trade bigal for dwight haward, some of you will say orlando should add couple of first round picks to trade.

Rondo is owed 16 more million dollars than any current Jazz man.

He is not a center piece to build around.

Those two things override any positive for me, so I would pass on a deal for him, especially any deal that adds one of the four lotto picks from the last two years.
