The Jazz Have to Make a Hard Push for Rondo

Jazz fans want a point guard with Rose's ability to attack the rim, Paul's ability to probe the defense, Rondo's perimeter defense, Russell Westbrook's first step, Steph Curry's shooting touch, Steve Nash's passing ability with Kyrie Irving's upside on a NBA minimum contract. Is that too much to ask for?

This PG has a bad attitude and he won't commit to a losing team unconditionally. Don't want him.

Then again I tend to undervalue draft picks compared to most fans.

Ditto!! Building a great team through the draft is generally just a mirage. Especially if you are afraid to use those players!!!!!
I am amazed to find otherwise intelligent people here speculating on who the Jazz draft picks could be next year. We will have no clear idea who they might be until the Jazz "go on the clock". Then we are usually wrong.

Remember guys, to make a trade in the NBA the contracts have to match unless one of the two teams is way under the salary cap. I started a thread about this in Friday after the Jazz lost. The realistic trade that I could see us doing is Rondo and Jermaine O'Neal for Millsap and Harris. Jefferson makes too much money for him to be involve in a trade to Boston unless you trade him for two or more players. In the Millsap/Harris for Rondo/O'Neal proposed deal the contracts match. It works on ESPN.com's NBA Trade Machine as well as in RealGM.com's Trade Checker. This is the one that I could see us making. Millsap needs to be on a team in which he is either the 6th man or the 3rd/4th scoring option in the starting lineup. He would be that in Boston.

Realistic? No, but who wouldn't want a pg on their team like this. Even though Rondo may currently have a bad attitude, I think that Rondo would be great with the young and talented (possible/hopeful) team that we have. I think that AJ + AB might do it better then AJ and GH. They would have to throw in something more though. Maybe an "over the hill" Ray Allen. Works in the trade checker here is the Real GM trade number (Trade ID #6023429).

Boston already has Bass who is similar to Sap and plays that role. Al makes much more sense there. They can make it work if the teams want to do it.

Rondo's better than I have given him credit for, but it remains to be seen what he does without players to take significant pressure off of him. That, and I don't think Boston's looking to down-grade, and this idea is rill tired.
