JazzFanz gets a shoutout here for the original Best Buy story involving Eric Pincus and will be used as a code word for us going forward.

This was a great episode that hit on a ton of different topics. The microphone volumes match too so there’s that as well!

As always we appreciate your support and thank you for listening!

I will give it a listen since the volumes match. Thanks for fixing that and providing this content

Not sure it makes much sense to spend all this time being terrible with the goal of eventually fielding a championship caliber team and then turn around and acquire guys like Trey Young or KAT.
I kind of like the idea of Sabonis, but not this year. Sabonis/Lauri/Keyonte/Ace would be nasty on offense plus whoever we add this draft.

Thoughts on fun topics:

Who are the untradeables?

Rank trade value of vets.

Rank trade value of young guys.

How many young guys should we keep?

What will Cody Williams average in the G league if they come to their senses and send him down?

What do you see as a fair trade with Detroit for Lauri?

Just thinking out loud, but if Kessler's 3pt shot is legit and he actually improves on it next year, could the Jazz play him and Sabonis together with Lauri at the 3?

I've watched too much Kings basketball... don't want Sabonis.

I'm kinda bummed to hear you say this. I don't know a lot about Sabonis at this stage of his career, but I have positive associations of him as a rebounder, playmaker, and scorer. And I figured he might be one of the better gettable players (since the Kings are gonna explode soon enough).

He's a tough watch (Kings are in general right now). I think everything has to move through him to really help him be worth what his contract is. It might work with Lauri but the defense is garbage.

If we are going buy low high potential guy... I think Zion is the only guy I'd be somewhat excited about (depending on cost). All of these are summer or next year type acquisitions.

I just like the idea of Walker/Lauri/Sabonis.

No idea if it would work, probably wouldn't, but if Walker can actually shoot it seems like it might?

Sabonis doing the playmaking hub stuff with Lauri would just be disgusting.

I don't like bigs that can't defend at a high level. I think it's very difficult to have a good team defense without a good defensive big.

I could be wrong, but this is my general gut reaction whenever there is talk about acquiring a poor defensive big. Maybe I've been emotionally scarred by the Boozer/Okur duo.

It is interesting because, like you said - if Walker's shot is for real, I think Utah is a pretty good fit for him offensively. We'd be entertaining as hell, but not a real threat imo.

definitely intriguing. But I'll default into trusting HH on this one, since I've barely watched Sabonis in the last 3-4 years.

Don’t like Kessler/Sabonis/Lauri. Could probably peak at 50 wins depending on who the guards are though. Kinda hate it tbh. Problems on both ends.
