water's wet. nobody should ever overpay anybody. like, it's always a bad idea to pay somebody more than they are worth.Really important not to overpay him next summer.
yup. i'd still like to see his TS% in the 58-59 range. he's close, but his threes need to start falling.
Some posters can just never accept happiness. Oh a player is playing good, let's complain he will get paid too much. Player is playing bad, they suck and the Jazz have no futurewater's wet. nobody should ever overpay anybody. like, it's always a bad idea to pay somebody more than they are worth.
but in terms of what the jazz pay him, let's allow him to finish out the season and see what what we think he's worth. we're 13 games into his third season. let's allow things to play out a bit.
His efficiency is progressing well IMO. I think his shot will return to form and I've been pleased with his where his offensive game is going. For me, the bigger problem is that his defense is still very bad.
I hope this shotmaking is part of Keyonte really turning a corner.

key just needs shots to go in the basket. he can create looks at all three levels and he's a plus passer/playmaker. he just needs the ball to go through the hoop at a much higher rate than it did his first two years.Ya it seemed pretty obvious that he had all the skills and physical tools to be great. Just needed experience.
Also, hard core shenanigan tanking can be hard on competitive mo fos.
I was quite confident that Key was going to be special and figured we would see the beginnings of that this season.
defend at a higher level, too, pls.key just needs shots to go in the basket. he can create looks at all three levels and he's a plus passer/playmaker. he just needs the ball to go through the hoop at a much higher rate than it did his first two years.
He's been very efficient this season...Key is a good, but inefficient player, who needs to play with a better point guard that we currently have.

You know, I heard a lot of "Keyonte will be a good 3-point shooter eventually, look at his FT%"... But. Key is currently the fourth in the NBA at the FT% with the 93% rate. Three players are above him at 94%: Morant, Murhy and Smart. Morant is shooting 17% from the three and Smart is 24%.
Evidently, there is no guarantee that your excellent free throw accuracy eventually transforms into the great 3-point percentage.
