The weird thing is he’s shown some flashes of competence/hustle on D, but there just seems no mental fortitude in sustaining it for a whole gameBrice just isnt an nba player. A cardboard cutout is the equivalent of what he does on defense
It drives me crazy that no one can execute the defensive game plan.
The Anderson minutes have been great.
I just looked cause I was curious as well. It’s just a really bad defensive team. Thank goodness, tbh- I haven’t looked at numbers, but I’d guess their offense at least NBA average. Which would mean at least a .500 record if their defense were worth a ****.
Not a surprise, though. This team wasn't going to be a challenger regardless, but without Kessler it was pretty obvious the season would be quite miserable.Nurk's "interior defense" is pretty much all the tank commanding we need. I mean anywhere else he would be suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.
The fact that we haven't even tried to pick up some rim protector off the scrap heap after Kessler went down is all I need to know about what the FO wants to do this season.
Key is better on D this year overall, but IDK if I've seen a softer post defender.- Keyonte had some incredible passes in this game. His activity level on defense is very high this year.
- Lauri is already wearing down. He missed so many bunnies in this game that just looked like he was too exhausted to finish. Maybe this game convinces him and the team to give him some more rest.
- Ace looks incredible off ball, but struggles on ball. Does that mean he might not be a good fit next to Lauri and Kessler? Is that too many off ball players? Do we think he can improve enough to play more on ball eventually?
You'd rather him go out there and get 0's across the board?Wow Cody did not get even one minute
Not good
Nurk is a tree. He just peacefully grows under the basket.Nurk's "interior defense" is pretty much all the tank commanding we need. I mean anywhere else he would be suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.
I don't disagree, but i feel like he's making strides - perhaps toddler strides - in this area as the season progresses. we're seeing him attack closeouts and just put the ball on the floor and create more and more. again, it's not a lot, but it's happening.- Keyonte had some incredible passes in this game. His activity level on defense is very high this year.
