Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Philon with 29pts, 7assists. He's shooting 41.3% from 3 on 5.3 attempts/game and it's been long enough and it looks different enough to believe the shot is pretty real. To be clear I'm not saying he's turned into a super high level shooter, but it looks good enough that I think defenses will keep honest with him at the next level.

Paul McNeil 47 points tonight. He’s a deep draft twitter guy.
just looked this guy up - and this isn't directed at you or anybody else for that matter, just that i found it kind of interesting/funny; his previous four games prior to that 47 point outburst:

1-7 FGs, 4 pts vs Kansas
2-4 FGs, 6 pts vs Liberty
1-6 FGs, 3 pts vs UNC Asheville
3-9 FGs, 7 pts vs Auburn

Just based on that 4 game stretch, that might have the most out of character 40+ point performance in cbb history. and it wasn't just 47 pts, it was an ultra efficient 47 points on 18 FGs. 100.95% TS. in 27 minutes.

Kinda crazy, though irrelevant due to all the qualifiers, stat: In college basketball history no player has had a 4 game stretch where they had at least 90 points, 30 rebounds, 20 assists, shot over 60% from the field, and had zero fouls. Other than AJ Dybantsa.

No fouls isn't a good thing. It's just a dumb qualifier

What do you mean zero fouls? No fouls called against him? Not sure what that may mean
If you are an elite defender you would get fouls called on you for being aggressive
Is he that good or does he not defend?

he's an excellent defender and just happened to not have any fouls called against him. just a fluke stat.

Koa Peat is a guy who I had in my top-5 range to start the year but since then he’s been kind of meh. Doesn’t shoot any threes at all. He’s a slightly undersized traditional PF? Dude would have killed it in the 2000’s. I’m not sure what to think of him.

If you are playing good defense and getting lots of steals (like AJ during this 4 game run) then its a good thing. His coach spoke about it (the zero fouls 4 games in a row) and how he has really high BBIQ and knows how to use his defensive tools well without committing dumb fouls that most other players commit.

I can only say that he has played great defense during that 4 game stretch (averaging around 3 steals per game). Refs have probably missed a few calls against him and he probably gets star treatment as well. But he is also good at playing good defense without fouling which is a good thing imo. Helps to be big, quick, long, and athletic with great basketball IQ

Not an AJ stat but BYU opponents during that 4 game stretch are averaging 58 points per game.

Same lol. To begin the season everyone was worried about his stocks. Now people think he’s a great defender.

He's a good man defender and has good defensive tools. He's a bad team defender (when I've watched) and gets lost on defense frequently. He has bad defensive awareness currently.

He's my favorite player on their team. I haven't really thought about him as an NBA player though.
6'7 athletic defending freshman who can shoot/dribble/pass. IDK why he wouldnt be. Maybe he's not coming out this year, but he will come out eventually. Turned 19 in September, so not super young, but also not as old as a lot of Euro Freshman.
