I hope Ace comes back soon so we dont have to watch TH/Cody for this many mnutes. He isnt driving our winning any more than those guys are, but he is hell of a lot more fun to watch.

Also Flip is falling out of my favor for his horrible fundamentals around the defensive glass. **** like this just cant happen.

Thats a late half-assed perimeter contest 10ft from the rim which was nearly a gifted shooting foul, followed by not even trying to either block out or go get the rebound. A big man needs to understand he cant contest shots that way so close to the rim.

Tankers are ecstatic, of course, but I thought this was a terrible game in many respects.

The L is one thing, but we sat Svi and Love and gave the youngins tons of minutes without any accountability. They responded accordingly. Lazy defense (some of the worst of the season), sloppy passing, generally acting entitled like they were the best team in the NBA and didn't need to take a team like Boston seriously. This is exactly the type of game that teaches young guys to lose.

Flip, Walt and Brice were all awful. Cody and Taylor looked like the hopeless G-League players that they are. So done with them.

All the fight we saw came from the few veterans plus Keyonte, who scored a bunch but defensively had one of those bizarre "He couldn't take one more step to cut off that driving lane??!?" games.

Just a gutless performance by the "youth movement". Derrick White had 27/7/6/7. He's good but not that good. Have some pride.

Truly one of the worst games I've ever seen from Flip. He looked like he was playing stoned.

Ah, the accountability thing once again. We’ve poisoned the well because Svi and Love cannot play. Just another day in “what can I complain about” land.

Paging @Elizah Huge again until he acknowledges that this dumb conversation happens over and over again.

What a defensive masterclass from Boston, and especially Derrick White, against Lauri. Boston took away all the threes and dunks and was willing to give him space in the midrange. White kept chasing Lauri around screens and was more than happy to trail him, baiting him into taking those jumpers. Lauri was too hesitant with his decision-making, and White blocked him almost every single time.

Kudos to Lauri for staying active and scoring off broken plays and in transition, but he really needs to improve his midrange game as opponents start to come in with better game plans against him.

He's done plenty of damage from midrange this season. But this time Lauri abandoned his fadeaway jumper and decided to drive head first into traffic time and time again. Boston collapsed the entire defense on him. Not the best game from Lauri either, he didn't get into a rhythm at all.

Good gameplan by the Celtics.

I hope Lauri learns to make correct kick out reads one day. To me that is the most glaring weakness in his offensive game. He trusts his height and finishing so much that even when the entire defense collapses he still pushes on.

Getting and-1 is the best offensive play there is as it not only maximizes your points but also guarantees you get set on defense... but Boston wasnt fouling him consistently on his drives so he should have realized that in this game the corner 3s were the better option.

To be fair to Eliza Huge, I'm guessing this particular conversation is being had by a poster many (and all should) have on ignore so maybe he literally isn't seeing it, like I'm not.

I just cant get past how little potential Hendricks has.

Even when he plays well it's the least impressive stuff. He can hit some 3's and attack a close out. Defensively he's a disaster. I think Hardy needs to stop coaching him like he has a future and just let him go out there/get minutes and fail to help the Jazz.

I'd still be hard on Cody, as I think he can have a future if you carefully mold him and unlock the secrets behind his lack of confidence.

I swear Luka Garza kills the Jazz whenever he plays. Felt like he whooped on Flip at some point last year, maybe in multiple games.

Dont the Celtics still need cap relief? Is there any way we can get Hugo or Walsh?

I think this might be a doable trade? I believe this would take the Celtics out of the tax. I dont think they want to keep Simons long-term. Nurkic would improve their big man depth.

Yes, this would take them completely under the first apron. I have floated a Nurkic/Simons swap myself. Trying to figure out what would be the best compensation on top. Likely a few seconds but I would love to get Hugo somehow. I highly doubt they’d trade Walsh.

I feel like Walsh would be more gettable than Hugo due to contract length? Not sure who they value more.

Multiple people have said this. But one is the most extreme and insufferable for sure.
