bump I said i wouldn't judge anything until year 3 Let's see what happens
His defensive floor is higher, his defensive potential (ceiling) is lower. There is something there deep beneath the surface.
He has NBA athleticism and size, and can move his feet defensively. He has enough of that to be a threat in transition. He just has to learn how to shoot and/or be more confident/forceful in his drives.
He has the potential to be our best wing defender. If I had to give minutes to him or Taylor, I would probably opt for Cody as I see his defensive potential being so much higher
No thanks.Think of him as being a rookie this season
I’m not convinced he likes basketball.Good-ish game for him. Good game, if we’re speaking relatively.
I’m still not convinced he actually loves basketball.

Im not sure that's true. Neither Taylor or Cody have good instincts, but at least Cody can move his feet. His defensive floor is higher, his defensive potential (ceiling) is lower.

I wonder how much of Taylor’s lead feet is just conditioning. He seems athletic for about the 1st 2 minutes he plays.Im not sure that's true. Neither Taylor or Cody have good instincts, but at least Cody can move his feet.
I would guess that most NBA players do not like basketball. They probably liked it as kids - when they were clear stars and could do everything they wanted and it came out great. In the NBA the same wunderkind kids are role players used in a very specific way and often for limited minutes. The fans of their team often relentlessly pick on them (like they are treating Svi, Anderson and Cody on this site). Most of the players change teams frequently and, even more frequently, are a subject of trade rumors, threatening to uproot their live at zero notice. All of them travel a lot...I’m not convinced he likes basketball.
