Jazz could really use someone next to Keyonte who is a killer off the dribble, even if it means bringing Kessler off the bench.
Lauri and JJJ for shooting.Who are they please?
Isn't he like... 35% shooter? Not bad by any means... but one of the best?
Like before if WK gets a 30M deal then you are like "bit more than I wanted to spend but can't let him leave for nothing". It gets a bit more tenuous and anyone that wanted to make a big offer would be emboldened by the move today. My fear is that the FO and the fan base would be in a honeymoon period (that extends past the trade deadline) with the idea of keeping Kessler, only to have reality set in and it’s too late. Right now everyone is laughing and sharing TJ tweets about how the Jazz want him, but then when summer rolls around and it’s “oh yeah, we like Kessler but it’s just logic, there’s no ****ing way you can retain him with the cap situation and where you’ve already spent your money. People shouldn’t be mad about that.” Which is exactly what we’re saying now, but they’ll be saying in the summer like it wasn’t patently obvious on February 3rd.
The real difference in acknowledging it on February 3rd is having some real options about it… rather than your options on July 1.
I was a WCJ believer, but he has been really bad. He can barely even dribble against NBA players and at his size that's a real red flag
I think my biggest issue here is that JJJ has this reputation as the unicorn of all unicorns but he is actually quite overrated and wildly overpaid. Paying ultra premium prices for shooting+shot blocking when you could get 65% of those benefits for 5% of the cost if you went and got Jalen Smith is not the best.Isn't he like... 35% shooter? Not bad by any means... but one of the best?
OK ThanksLauri and JJJ for shooting.
Walker and JJJ for defense.
It'll be ok.
Shoots the same amount as KAT at the same percentage and you wouldnt flinch if I said KAT was one of the best.Isn't he like... 35% shooter? Not bad by any means... but one of the best?
