First of all there was a difference of opinion on whether the Pacers will try to go for 10 and they wanted clarification on who wanted the 10-30 protections. Then McMahon emphatically said that this was not the same package that was offered to Utah, which I thought was clarifying. In other words someone from the Utah front office specifically told him that they did not get the same offer for Kessler, or in other words Utah's front office wanted it out there that they didn't pass on that deal, or in other words it's very possible that Utah would have taken that deal for Kessler.

The main distinction they made was that Zubac is cost controlled, or in other words Indiana was concerned about how much they were going to have to pay Kessler

That also might not be ideal depending on price. This market is brutally unforgiving with negative value contracts. “Pay off” means that buyers are scared off and we can get him for somewhere at or below fair market value (rather than RFA offer sheet premium).

If the jazz end up with the 8th pick after the lottery would you trade Kessler (sign and trade) and 8 to move up to 3? Would you trade kessler and 8 to move up to 4?
Would the jazz? Would a team make that trade with the jazz?

If the Jazz passed on Mathurin and 2 1sts, then I doubt it. That is a solid return.

I'm not sure if would either as much as I like AJ and Boozer. We'd have a huge hole at the center.... you know what, **** it. Yeah, id do it and bring Nurk back.
