What would you give up for a top 3 pick?

Highlight defense is possibly the most overrated thing in the NBA.

Fundamentals matter. You defend with your feet first, guarding with your hands and playing for turnovers rarely means an effective defense in the NBA.

I'm with you on this. Kanter has faults, but so does Favors. Favors is annihilated by stretch fours. Both of them should improve with experience. Kanter uses his body very well and defensive rebounds better than Favors. Absolutely loved Favors last night!

actualy Kanter has more offensive rebounds(82) than favors(79) and minutes are 13.5 to 19.5

im happy with both of them, but i want to point something else,,last 3 games,,we lost 4 rebounds because Kanter and Favors both went up to grab the same rebound,,WTF man,,did u guys see it? if someone has access to archives, maybe he/she can post it here,,4 TO because both wanted to add numbers to their stats,,i hope Ty gave them a warning or something

While I do not doubt it happened I do not think it was stat paddign that caused it. They just went up and fought for it and it happened to be a Jazz guy. That will slowly die out as they get more used to each other.

Multiple guys fighting for the same rebound is the best turnover/lost possession you can get.

well,i hope they learn it quick, cause it hurts when we make TO's like that..

Would give up a lot for Davis, including Kanter and both picks. I think a front line of Davis + Favors would just be too good defensively not to win a championship. Would not give up much for #2 on down, just not a ton of difference at #2 and where we will be drafting.

How 'bout this one? Say NOH gets the #3 and #13 picks, and we have #9 and #11. Would you trade our two picks and Millsap for NOH's two picks?

I would consider that trade but I would rather give them Jefferson and keep Millsap. It also depends who enters the draft. Besides I am not that big of a fan of Barnes so it is more than likely I wouldn't do it.

I think Kanter does a better job at times because he doesn't try to block shots, so he just uses his body to plant in front of the rim, but I think Favors is miles ahead of him on the defensive end and always will be.

Being fair to Favors though, a lot of his blocks come from help D--where you want them to come from.
I agree on Kanter's post D too. Kanter's huge frame allows him more body and feet D than Favors. It's too hard to push him off a spot where Favors can get moved a bit. That changes his D from feet and body to arms and hops.

I wonder if the #3 and #13 would be enough to pry a James Harden type away from a contender with salary issues. OKC isn't in that spot until next year, but maybe another team? The #3 could keep them competitive and under the cap, while a Harden type immediately improves the Jazz, without risk, and while staying young.

I don't think the 9, 11, and Millsap would be as valuable in draft day trades as the 3 and 13.

Is Harden a restricted FA whenever he comes off his deal? If so, maybe. I would maybe do the trade with Millsap just to get Barnes. Then we would get Lillard @ 9.
