We could still get Tony Mitchell at around pick 20. Long 3 who's as athletic as anyone in the league, can shoot, and be a lockdown defender. Not a volume guy either (like Burks could be) which could be perfect.
how would we get our hands on a 20th pick? I thought 'sota will get our pick as soon as it exceeds 14.
I've watched Baylor a handful of times this year. I've been impressed with PJIII's talent, in spite of his docile demeanor. But I've tuned into their games mainly to get a look at Quincy Miller, because of his being a true SF (whereas PJIII may only be a PF). But every time I watch Miller seems invisible. Actually, Acy takes a lot of Miller's minutes (Acy seems to play with more intensity than Miller - but he's not projected in the draft nearly has high as Miller).
But I also notice their backcourt, Jackson and Walton - and I don't like them. They remind of guys I've played with that never pass the ball. And yet I notice PJIII so they must pass the ball at some point. I dunno. Is Miller's problem his teammates, is it his coach, or is it him? Because PJIII and Miller seem similar to me, yet PJIII is the one that appears more impressive.
Anyone care to educate me on this?
I'm still on the PJIII bandwagon, especially if he falls to say 10 or so. I still see him in that Lamar Odom/Rudy Gay mold. At Baylor it seems like they try to use him as a PF or C (and being that he's 6'11" that makes sense), but while he has a lot of things he would have to improve on, I still think he has the potential be an elite SF. Okay, let's hear it PKM.

At 10 or later he has too much potential to pass up on. He might be the perfect player for the Jazz in the 3 big man rotation.
I still firmly believe that the current system that he plays in really hurts him as well as Miller. If he played in a more ball movement friendly system I believe that he will thrive. I am sure that he will have to break out of the mind frame that he is stuck in right now and I also believe that the Jazz have the right team for that. Remember Favors when he first got to the Jazz? Shy, kept to himself, didn't seem to understand his potential. I can see Jones breaking out in the same way.

Or I'm just an extreme homer.
At the 3, he might be slow in the NBA. At the 4, he has a tremendous agility advantage. At the 3, he is a poor shooter and ballhandler. At the 4, he has the tools to be a nightmare matchup. At the 3, he has no post-game. At the 4, he has no post-game.
I see no appreciable reason for him to play the 3 UNLESS you're hiding his horrific rebounding.
I'm gonna go on the record now and say Tony Mitchell will be the best 3 out of this draft.

Who?
I know he's a 3. He is too weak to play the 4 and has no power game at all. He's also smooth, but not explosive and that translates better to perimeter play. I don't know how he projects as a player (as much as I hope he's a stud), but the AK-defense works a lot better for Miller since he's still likely recovering from a serious injury, is half as experienced as Pajamas, and actually plays a position of need for the Jazz. What do you think of Miller at the 3?
Pajamas III.
I was gonna say. Mitchell's a ****ing beast. 6'9", the best athlete in this draft (yes, thee best), long, 10.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 3.0 blocks, 43.9% from three, 56.7% from the floor, a respectable 73.9% from the line based off of 5.0 free throw attempts per game in < 30 minutes...and oh yeah, this all after having sat the year before because he was academically ineligible. For the U-19 Team USA Team, he led in rebounds per minute in the tourney (ahead of Jonas V) and was second in blocks per minute. He's still finding his game offensively but I like his athleticism and especially his shooting much more than I like MKG's.
Tony Mitchell biatches.
