Yep, we have a one chode limit.

If being a true Jazz fan means that you must always root for the playoffs without any sort of strategy involved then I would say that Jazz fans would be less intelligent than I thought. The reason that I joined this forum was because I was looking for a place to talk basketball with other intelligent people that have a mind for it. I have not been disappointed with some but there are many that I wonder if they actually think about what they are posting before they post.
For those of you who consider the future as much as I do, thank you for your input. You make this board incredibly addicting as well as intellectually stimulating.
... just want to insert here that our best chance of being great sooner rather than later is by not ****ing up our cap room after next season.
If we are able to pull Lillard/Marshall and Crowder/D.Miller out of this draft + trade Jefferson for more help on the wings WITHOUT taking on salary beyond next season, then celebrations are in order.
We don't need to miss the playoffs for this to happen.

I assume you simply meant we shouldn't think our future is entirely predicated on us missing the playoffs, but not sure.
Ok enough of this let's take a look at what might be there in the second round. (I will base this on chad fords top 100 40-60 range)
T Taylor PG 6-3 185 21 - would be worthy of a flier in the second round attitude issues concern me
Myck Kabongo PG 6-1 170 19 - if he comes out and is available here you have to take him and hope he developes.
Scott Machado PG 6-1 180 21 - a lot already said about him
Josh Smith C 6-9 320 19 - jazz love their big fat centers. Has a ton of talent
Andre Roberson SF 6-7 195 20 - he intrigues me burks could tell them a lot.
Alex Young SG 6-6 212 22 - some say he is the next big player from the small conference
Evan Fournier SG 6-7 206 19 - I've seen him higher but if he is on the board you have to take him
Will Barton SG 6-5 165 21 - worthy of a second pick
Marcus Denmon SG 6-3 185 22 - don't know much but not a fan of undersized 2s
Otto Porter SF 6-8 200 18 - don't know anything about him
Kevin Jones PF 6-8 250 22 - already have one of these in millsap
Elijah Johnson PG 6-4 195 - interesting look. I like big pgs
Le'Bryan Nash SF 6-7 230 20 - if he comes out and is here in the second you have to take him
Tomas Satoransky SG 6-7 204 20 - interesting player say he can play the pg also
William Buford SG 6-5 205 23 - not a big fan
Jae Crowder SF 6-6 225 21 - <3 been talked about solid player great 2nd pick
Jeff Withey C 7-0 235 22 - this surprised me would be a great snatch in the second
Rudy Gobert PF 6-11 220 19 - have no idea who this guy is
There are a lot more after too
