Nothing too groundbreaking here, but thought others may want to take a look. Arrived in town last night around 9:30. Says the typical athlete speak (poor guy must have been under a heat lamp too or something) that he's excited to be here and can't wait to play for Deron/Sloan/etc. and it seems genuine enough.

I'm actually quite interested in next season, more than I've been in some time.

Yeah, the twitter pic someone posted looked like he played some ball on the plane.

That, or he gets nervous being introduced at an airport and sweats heavily.

Jefferson: "I'm very excited....the coach especially...it will be an honor to play for him, I've always had respect for him..."

Sloan, he ROCKS, eh!?

Anyone else think Greggy boy is the most awkward person in the world?

LOL - Yes, and he'll always be that way. If his Dad wasn't LHM he'd be an Assistant Manager at Costco making 24K a year - and deep down he knows it and knows everyone else knows it.

The truth is, Al is sick, but he is kinda like a fesenko... out of shape, not super experienced, maybe sorta slow.. I hope he really is just sick enough to over come all his deficiencies. The guy isn't a star, and doesn't have the confidence of one. Yet at least

Best line for me that he said was when he was talking about Sloan. Mentioned Boozer and Malone being two of the best in the game and said he hoped Sloan could "turn me into one."

Great that he feels he hasn't reached his best playing ability. Great that it appears he's not thinking about what he brings to the Jazz but what the Jazz can do for him. Seems to be quite interested in the team aspect.

So i'm new to this site and with my first post I point out that the video of Al vs Jazz simply proves that he will be better that Boozer. He owned every big we threw at him. I'm very excited for the new season now! and lance a million i totally disagree with you.

Can this guy get any closer to being Karl Malone?

Probably just sweats heavily, he is from Mississippi, so a Utah summer should be nothing for him.

I doubt Karl Malone worked up a sweat walking through and air conditioned airport. Hell, I'm not sure Karl Malone worked up a sweat playing a double overtime game.

Funny you mention it. The other day I was thinking how I never remembered Karl or John ever "looking" tired in a game...at any point...ever. Not sure I can say that about anyone we have now. Even Deron sometimes (in games he has to carry the team for extended periods) looks a little winded.

I've met with him a couple times over the last 5 years for items related to the race track and he's always had that glazed over look in his eyes like I'm speaking Mandarin Chinese......

Actually just watched the Greg Miller interview, kind of impressed. Seems like he's grasping a lot more of this than he did at first.

So the consensus on Greg Miller is that he is hated by Jazz fans?

Not by me. I don't understand all the Greg Miller hate. A small market owner willing to pay the tax? Who delegates basketball decisions rather than meddling with them? We don't know what he'll become, but he's been fine so far.
