What's new

defeatist attitude

defeatist attitude is BAD.
always when i watch some ufc fight games you see the fighters talking about there being no way in hell they'd lose.
doesnt matter who they are fighting.
when you look at the clippers memphis serie you see that same fight and attitude.
I saw that attitude in favors carrol and to some degree burks.

WE need fighters tough guys.
guys who know they can win and beat anybody.

i think with a different attitude jazz might have one 1 game.

all i hope is that this attitude goes out the door, as soon as possible

even if you are outnumbered 100 to 1 if you go to fight you must believe you can win right.
i know from fighting that the attitude that you know you can win makes a big difference.

Thank you, captain obvious.

Aren't you one of the supporters for tanking to miss the playoffs? And you are criticizing a "defeatist" attitude?

This actually makes some sense to me. Sometimes you must forego the present for a brighter future. Couldn't you be making more money if not currently attending college?

I don't know how that really relates to the situation. I don't have inner talents waiting to develop like the Jazz do Kanter, Favors, Haywrd, and Burks.

Does a talented artist pay to go to college when they can develop their skills by themselves?

These are really bad analogies. Also, by making the playoffs we now the right to our own pick next year, increasing trade flexibility.

Okay, I'm thoroughly confused .. and I started it. Nice work. :)

HOw much development did they get from getting their $@# handed to them while sitting on the bench?

Okay .. point was sometimes anyone (or business) must set aside immediate gratification for a clearer vision of future greatness. You do NOT lose on purpose .. but there's no doubt we could have gotten more PT for the youngsters this season .. rather than striving for what we got.

I havent seen a single hustle play from big al NOT 1.
NOT 1 single husstle play diving for the ball and such.

NOT 1.

al couldnt even win the tip.
i'm watching the memphis la game and seeing HUSTLE PLAYS.
watching jazz paly i forgot something like hustle plays exist. okay not really favors and carrol where bsuting their guts among others

Al Jefferson is a loser, and so is Devin Harris.

Both of them need to get out of Utah.

I actually agree. There's VERY little tough on this team. ZERO badass.

Hence why I would like Jae Crowder. Can he shoot well enough is the question?

The flipside is who are or have been the "tough guys" for the Spurs over the years? My point is I'm not sure you need one if your guys play smart and they play hard.

I give Harris credit for some effort. Did you see that block against Parker. Then he came back after what looked like a minor injury and played. But Harris isn't the answer.
