Jazz Locker room Cleanout & Exit Interviews

Brian T. Smith: Derrick Favors just left exit meeting. Said he spoke with Corbin, O'Connor about being a starter for #UtahJazz next season. a

David Locke: Derrick Favors asked do you want to be face of franchise do you have that ability. "Yeah I do"
David Locke: First Jazz player to talk at podium rather than in locker room. Derrick Favors

1. As you seem like a football guy, I would hope you would understand that not everyone can or should be cut.
2. "Soft" usually refers to a person's demeanor or how they play. Deron does not fit that description in the least.

1. Fine, then he needs to show me some physical conditioning/body type better than the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man.
2. Doughy. Is that better?

The more I think about it, the more I think Bell is just making sure he isn't back next year. I think he wanted to be gone at the TD, and when that didn't happen, he was going to blow the bridge up on the way out.

How can people say Corbin lost the team? Everyone was calling for him to outright bench these guys before he even did it. I thought Corbin did a pretty good job of managing players and giving them multiple opportunities to prove themselves, and not just out right benching anyone for sucking in a couple of games. Players who don't feel they get enough time complain, it happens in the NBA, especially when you come off a 4-0 first round sweet. The only time players can't complain is if the team is doing exceptionally well, but even then it happens.

I agree. If anything, Corbin was too accommodating in playing underperforming veterans.

That would be like the recent MBA graduate of Harvard Business School being taken under the wing of the local State Farm insurance agent.

That was totally uncalled for. Trout has been nothing but good to you.

Brian T. Smith: Bell said he hopes Jazz do the right thing and move him. Was open to it before trade deadline but didn't ask for trade.

Brian T. Smith: Raja Bell said Tyrone Corbin was "unprofessional" at end of season. Corbin made things personal and it was obvious

Awkward.

What a professional thing for Raja to say.

Carroll is basking in the love that Jazzfans are giving him via tweets. Proud of our fan base, and I'm proud that his second year option has been picked up. This guy is so much better than Miles that it aint even funny.

"has" been picked up? Can we do that already and is it done? When was this announced?

I saw that as well. I hope it is true. I was very impressed with how Carroll fought for everything. Loved seeing that. Other Jazzmen could learn from that.

Also interesting that Favors was first to be at podium and talking to FO and Corbin about starting. First indication of him stepping into the "leader" role?

Bell and Miles need to be more professional than this. Be men and complain to Corbin and KOC, don't go off to everybody. Now this thing is going to get blown up by the national media and it's going to screw up the rep of the Jazz organization. Completely spineless and stupid move. They likely won't be in the league next year because of this.

And Corbin needs to work on his offense sets. It's clear that the wings don't like running post up Al on every play. Corbin also needs to work on communication too, because if he's going to eternally bench someone, they need to be told.

I got a team option next year to all my fans..#JazzNation #MIZZOU

I don't think the team picked the option yet though?

I believe you are correct. I think I just misinterpreted his tweet. I think we should assume that it is basically being picked up though

At this point, the only way I see Al being successful on this team is if he becomes a 22 minute off the bench scorer.

He would become a lot more valuable in that role instead of the focal point of our primary offense

Lol.

A sarcastic Kevin O'Connor on Raja Bell going off on Ty Corbin: "Gee, that's unexpected. I would have never thought that would've happened."
