Created a trade that made no sense. lol Unless someone can think of a 3 team trade where we get Maggette & a late lottery pick for Lillard.

Charlotte includes 2nd lottery pick. We draft Lillard.

Charlotte does this because they want to get rid of Tyrus Thomas's contract. And Jefferson produces more than Maggette

If we do this we won't be signing Paul Millsap to a contract next summer. Which I do not think we should either. He will be asking for big money and he will be 28. Which won't be smart to expect Millsap to be playing at a high level when a 4-5 year contract expires. 32-33 years old. He relies on agility right now. being 6-8 and losing agility he won't be affective than. He will be a role player and he won't be worth 10 million a year that he will get.

Harris - Lillard - Watson
Hayward - Burks
Maggette - Carroll
Millsap - Thomas
Favors - Kanter

We lead the league in getting to the free throw line. We add another shot blocker in Thomas off the bench. When Millsap, Harris & Maggette leave next summer we have this as our young core....... With cap space to go after another free agent.

Lillard
Burks
Hayward
Favors - Thomas
Kanter - Thomas

? Since when does Charlotte have a 2nd lottery pick this year?

Damnit! lol I got the Bobcats and Hornets mixed up. My bad

Not that I'm necessarily a fan of Lillard... I never really saw him play anyway.

But I get tired of folks bashing the draft, calling it weak, and bashing rookies.

Folks, a BIG reason why San Antonio is so scary is because of the draft. Kawhi Leonard, that guy that couldn't shoot? He's tearing the nets ripping 3 point barrages on everyone. Unlike many 3 point shooters, especially those that SA has had in the past, he can play defense, drive, and finish in the fast break.

The mere fact that when they have Leonard on the court and aren't sacrificing offense for defense/defense for offense is a huge plus.

OKC? Draft. Serge Ibaka? Oh some raw African kid... Turned out to be the biggest defensive animal we've seen since Ben Wallace or David Robinson. Some little known guard from Arizona St? Some UCLA hybrid? Oh and btw, folks complained about Westbrook's inability to run an offense. Yet, the kid just makes plays. Folks also complained that Parker wasn't your typical PG... The top PGs in the league aren't Kidd or Stockton folks.

I understand that Lillard might not be Stockton... But I'm interested to see if he can make plays... I'm open to the idea of giving the kid a closer look.

I for one would love to get into this draft. Find a PG or another wing. Send Howard, Raja, and CJ on their way outta town...

So I voted yes. But I guess it's more of a vote to trade Jefferson in order to get into this draft. Once in, I'd like to take a look at several prospects not just Lillard

I think we could probably get something a little better than an unproven rookie PG that will most likely not turn into anything special.

Which is exactly why we'll hold out and, before we know it, Jefferson will play out his contract here.

I played the beta and it seems like your average grind RPG, just with nice production values. I wouldn't spend more than 30$ on it.

Hmmm...

I played SC II and must saw I'm not too impressed. It was fun but it wasn't nearly as addictive or innovative as the original Starcraft. I found like it was basically the exact same game just with better graphics.

Which pick from NO are we talking about? If we are talking about their top pick unprotected I would do that no matter what. I would even consider talking on a little more salary. A top 5 pick could get us something great.

According to DX, the top 5 picks look like:
Anthony David
Andre Drummond
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Thomas Robinson
Bradley Beal

Any of those guys would be a great get for this up and coming Utah team.

I am saying I would be reluctant to do that deal for their top pick. I wouldn't even remotely consider it for the 10th pick. Even with the GS pick removed, taking on Ariza and Okafor and killing cap space in 13 isn't enough for the 5 in this draft. But if KOC really thought a star was sitting there, I would follow KOC on that.

I seriously doubt lillards ability to run an offense.

Ummm, what?

Knock anything you want......his shot, passing, athleticism or even his defense. There's plenty of evidence that you could build an argument against anyone in this draft with enough video/observation.

I'll play though. Give me something as to why he couldn't run an offense.
