Heard about this last week and just read this ESPN article from Rick Reilly. I just can't believe this woman that recanted after so many years and had the audacity to try and get back together with him.

She tried to get back together with him? Wow, that is beyond having a big set of balls.

I hope this guy has some good breaks. he deserves them.
 
A man who rapes a woman deserves to have his junk removed with a rusty spoon. What does a woman deserve who falsely accuses a man of rape and gets him convicted? I say she deserves to get raped by 1000 homeless junkies. Fair?
 
It's cool that other people outside of the football dream are looking to catch him up of sorts and give him some opportunities in the working world. It is amazing the amount of destruction one person can cause in another's life with some simple dishonesty.

From what I have read, it seems like her parents forced her because they got 1.5 million dollars from the school.
 
I'm more irritated that the DA in that county went along with the case without more evidence.
 
I don't understand why anyone would ever accept a plea deal (pleading GUILTY) to something like that knowing they didn't do it. I would fight it with every breath in my body until my dying day.

If I were him, I would hit that woman up with a serious civil case (slander, lost wages, everything I could possible throw into it) just to get back at her.

I don't know much about the law but does the statute of limitations come into play here? Not sure he can still sue, although I read he is suing the state for $100 per day he was in jail. 5 years so roughly $180,000.
 
I am going to play critic here.

What if the facebook reconnect is a fabrication? and the recant is the true lie? Maybe she felt threatened after he was released and agreed to recant if he left her alone.

That makes more sense than him pleading to something he didn't do, and her trying to get back with him after his release. Not to mention all the lawsuit money.

Hold on, I've got to get back to a few homeless junkies and tell them plan is on hold.
