Kanter & Burks Start P3

that doesn't mean you can't empathize with the duty and work of a guy on a mission that wants to return [to a discussion] with honor.

I'm not following. It's probably because I'm exhausted...or maybe I'm just dumb. Get back at me later.

Bigger, stronger, faster, great. He needs to spend an hour a day on drills where he shoots without putting the ball on the floor. Numberica will hate this, but Al can teach him all he needs to know in that department.

Can he? At any rate, I'm more worried about the nuggets of Dumb Al 'wisdom' that he'd teach, and the lessons of real basketball that he wouldn't be able to because he's yet to learn them.

Someone posted this in another thread, but I thought it was important enough for it's own thread.

Very promising promises from P3.

No news on Burks.

Here is their FB page where they post updates https://www.facebook.com/PeakPerformanceProject?filter=1

Waaaay late to this thread .. just wanted to say good find and thanks for posting. Anyone care to give me the highlights of a 6 page thread? Meaning, anything of note outside of the actual article?

Some weird argument between Cyrone and NAOS about Kanter's athleticism and lateral movement. I think it's a routine between them, which you are familiar with.

Work as much as you can you won't be able to improve explossiveness much. Trust me I was doing long jump in university and undergone vigorous training to improve jumping and explosiveness and there is not much you can do if you have no good genetic foundation. There is genetic reasons we have Griffin, Ibaka and Jarron Collins/Louis Scolla. Lateral movement is different storry... Boozer is great example - good explossiveness but no lateral movement at all ( or is it about his effort only? ).
So to sum - I think Kanter has better chances of improving his lateral movement. His explosiveness will always remain bellow average.

Generally agreed on what you said.

But let's wait and see, this P3 thing looks fancy and there is a lot of improvements ongoing these days on sport science. At the end, these guys are on million dollars, they are spending good money to have the best possible training methods, trainers etc, maybe you could also have improved if you had their opportunities.

Given Kanter's disparity between standing and running vertical, I expect he will get more out of P3 than most. It won't make him an above the rim player, but with his strength doesn't need to be.

P3 seems to be gaining popularity. All of the Vanderbilt prospects are using it, along with Perry Jones.

Dunno if this has been said.

@Enes_Kanter is an absolute beast. At age 20 one of the strongest NBA players that we have tested. Will make big gains as an athlete at P3.

This is a pretty cool collection of videos for those of you worried about Big Al taking Kanter and Favs under his wing.
