This was a posting during the season when we needed a body. Now given our lofty draft status it would seem a good thing to get some littles, bigs and tweeners from the DLeague like Junior Sapp or Paul Carter and see if they have game in summer league and fall camp.

No. Just saying given our paltry draft status there has to be a DLeague or overseas player truly worthy of a shot including everyone that was brought to camp and cut this past year.

The jazz do just that every year.

I was kind of disappointed that no one gave him a contract last year when it seemed every D-League player was getting one.

But this year seems more vital than in the past

Not if we trade into the draft. I think it's more important for KOC to get back into the draft using Al, and Harris as bait. I don't want space eaters I want roll players that can either score or defend or both Jr Sap, and Paul Carter aren't going to help us get over any hump.

I've said this entire season we need to trade Al for picks. I feel that Favors is ready for more minutes and responsibility. With that said Next year Sap needs to go to make room for Kanter, not because I don't like him, but because 1. I'm not sure we can afford to give Sap more money. 2. We may need to let him go to continue developing Kanter when he reaches the level Favors is at now. Al, Harris and Millsap can be used to find productive roll players to fit and complement the young 4. I could be wrong, but I feel we have two potential stars in Favors, and Hayward with Burks and Kanter being very good.

The only reason you concern yourself with the D-league is, when a team is well over the tax or you have injury problems in the middle to end of the season. You don't use it to build your team. Besides before we go the D-league route I'd rather look at undrafted rookies.

Yes, the guy the thread is about.

His D-League stats are really good, I was surprised no one gave him a legitimate chance.

He is undersized and he isn't a good rebounder in the D-League. If he is signed, it won't be to score, it will be to rebound and defend. If he averaged 9-12 rebs a game, it would be a completely different scenario.

He is a SF/SG, what do you mean not good rebounder?

The top rebounding big men get between 9-12 rebounds. What do you expect from a wing.
