I am just playing devil's advocate. It seems like MKG's big NBA skill is heart. A lot of those picks don't pan out. That is all I am saying.

Well the current Jazz roster has no heart, no leadership and no desire to win. Big Al even said it himself when he said no one can beat the Spurs before the series was even over...

I wouldn't say there's no heart .. but I would say there's no leader .. no one that's pushing each individual, every day, to be the very best they can be .. and creating optimum chemistry.

That being said, you are probably right. IF scouts think he develop a legit 3 pt shot, then I love him. If not, eh, we've seen this hype before.

MKG's shot doesn't suck quite as much (though it's close) and MKG has more power to his game.

Other than that, I think they are pretty similar and the biggest thing separating them is hype.

I'm just going to point out that MKG will enter the NBA at a younger age than Brewer did. I believe that also makes a difference.
 
Wow, Thomas' contract really blows. Hard. That's a lot of money to pay a guy to be the 4th big.

Shockingly, I'm in agreement with Cy: I'd rather give up less to get the 10th pick. Ariza and Lillard also fill positions of need.

I guess you do this trade if you're sure MKG is a franchise player..... dead sure.
 
I'm happy to not draft that high, and it says a lot that a team as truly awful as the Bobcats is trying to trade out.

But anything to be rid of Al without taking back another log-jammer or horrible contract is awesome for me.
 
I will believe in MKG when I see it. Perimeter players have to shoot, and players are practically disabled from defending on the perimeter (which isn't to say you don't value it, but MKG's strength isn't one that is generally allowed).

Agree with Cy/NAOS on rather having Ariza and #10 (Lillard or Marshall).

First off, Leonard's shot wasn't broken. Beyond that, he ended up on the absolute best team he could've in terms of cultivating confidence and emphasizing the importance of smart-jumpshooting.
