Jazz May Be A Part of 3-Team Deal w/ Clippers

i'm not in love with harris. i'm not even saying i wouldn't do the trade. i'm just saying that harris has more value than you guys think. hell, george couldn't even earn the starting role on the team that gave up a 15th pick to get him. so if indy would give up the 15th pick for their second point guard....

this really is just common sense.

Is it really all that common if you are the only one that has it?

Career PER? Why don't we just evaluate their current value based on show size?

ok, current PER: harris still wins, 17 to 15. and harris did that while starting and playing against top-tier PGs, hill came off the bench and played against backups.

again, i'm not swearing allegiance to harris here... just saying that his trade value HAS to be higher than hill's. he's an above-average starting point guard who is capable of averaging 20 and who happens to also be on an expiring contract.

I'd trade Okur for Mo and a 2nd. Sounds good to me. Also doesn't screw up our cap plan for next summer. IF we can get a 1st rounder in addition even better, but, if we start getting greedy they probably just send him to the Lakers instead.

This is true but I am sure that the clips would rather the jazz take Williams then the lakers. Same division market share. The clips are hoping the lakers crash soon so the become the marquis name in LA. They will give a little more for the jazz to make it happen

Attacking the basket works when you're young and have shooters, not when you're almost 30 on one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the NBA.

so you're saying the jazz don't need a PG who can break down the defense??

way to stick to your guns, i guess.

Hill starts for Indy. Collison comes off the bench.

This board is bi-polar, either they wouldn't trade Millsap for a lottery pick, or they would trade Al and Harris for a late-first/second-round pick.

Or you're an idiot.

1. Different drafts. It sounds as though teams value #15 more this year than they did at the draft last year.

2. George Hill is a restricted free agent this coming season, and likely won't command a prohibitive salary.

3. George Hill does a good job effectively/efficiently fitting a role, and will continue to do so for several more years. Devin Harris has clearly lost a step and is not much of a role player.

If we can find a deal to get rid of Harris, then do it. He's a pretty decent player, but he just doesn't fit the scheme of this team. Might as well get some assets out of him.

People are overrating George Hill and underrating Devin Harris.

I would rather have Hill because he is a good combo guard bench scorer who is (was) cheap, but Harris is clearly the better player overall.

If you factor in their salaries over the past couple of years, Hill is clearly more valuable. Hill will get paid more though this upcoming year and his value will drop (how much depends on contract).
