Send big al to the bucks

Looking at their roster they desperately need a low lost scorer. I tried this trade on espns trade checker and it works but this is my thought

Jazz trade

Al Jefferson
Earl Watson
DeMarre Carroll

Bucks trade

Beno Udrih
Mike dunleavey
Epke udoh and or Larry sanders (trade works both ways)
1st round draft pick lotto protected

Why the bucks do this is because the get a low post scorer that is a perfect fit next to illyosava (sp). Inside out game. Jennings and Ellis are ok shooters. Dalembert is no longer a starter but a great back up to Jefferson. They move some of their log jam at the big with udoh or sanders maybe both. (not that the jazz need both). Udrih wants to be traded. Utah could use a good back up. Watson doesn't mind being a back up and Carroll is filler.

Why Utah does this trade. They move big al for more time for favors. Dunleavey is the kind of player you like coming off the bench instant offense. They shed almost 4 million in salary with the trade. The get depth and a couple young prospects with either sanders or udoh and the draft pick. oh not to mention dunleavy and udrih are expiring contracts.

This is what the roster would look like

Williams, udrih, tinsley
Hayward, burks, Murphy
Williams, dunleavy
Millsap, Evans, udoh(?)
Favors, kanter, sanders (?)

That is play off team that would be dangerous.

Bucks roster

Jennings, Watson
Ellis, lamb
Ilyasova, mbah a moute! Tobias Harris
Gooden, Henson, udoh(?)
Jefferson, dalembert, sanders (?)

Solid probably a playoff team in the east which is sad.

Sanders and Udoh are completely redundant for the Bucks. Both PFs with retarded measurables that haven't blossomed. Those guys would be delighted to get a solid scorer like Al.

Bucks are definitely a team that should be interested. Cleveland could be as well.

I like Beno. Works great after too many burritos.

Milwaukee won't do it, though. This is Al's last year on his contract. There's no guarantee he'd re-sign. So Milwaukee is going to give us all those assets for a one-year rental?

One of the only thing they have going for them right now is that they have the only 2 players in NBA history whose first 2 letters of their last name starts with "Ud"

What assets are the giving up? They would have the rights to Jefferson and could resign him and offer more only. I do not like udrih and he wants out. Not an asset. Dunleavy yes he can score but he is awful at defense they might lose him next year too. Udoh has shown nothing. Sanders also. The draft pick is loto protected so again they are not giving up much.

I want Al gone as well.

But if we're going to be competitive next year (and the Millers would make damn sure that we are to sell tickets) - then we need Big Al.

We're just not going to the Playoffs in the West with Kanter/Evans as our 3rd big (with injuries and what-not).

There's absolutely no way we're trading Big Al. The Millers won't allow it. And they own the damn team!!!

How does keeping big al make us better?

Why wouldn't they? These guys traded big for small already. Now they have no big.

Trading Big Al all hinges on Kanter. Is he ever going to be more than a reserve off the bench who can rebound, or is he going to be a major piece. I know it might be early but I'd trade Kanter because I believe he is never going to be more than a benchwarmer. Then after you see what you can get for Kanter, only then would I look for a trade involving Jefferson.

Not the sexiest trade but I like it. At this point we need to upgrade the bench

Actually a pretty decent trade idea. Monta Ellis and Jefferson on the same team would be pretty frustrating for fans some nights and amazing other nights. But I agree with everyone else, not sure if the Bucks would do it. Personally I would want Sanders over Udoh, even with the inexperience.

Over the long term, he doesn't because if he gets big minutes Favors and Kanter get less minutes. But he's capable of 20 points and 10 rebounds on any given night. That helps the Jazz win some games and be more competitive than if they didn't have Al.

The necessity of trading Kanter and trading Al are nothing alike. Starting with, there is no necessity to trading Kanter.
-Kanter can only get better
-The Jazz gave up a lot more to get Kanter than to get Al, and he has no league-wide value
-Kanter isn't paid $15 million
-Kanter isn't expiring
-Kanter isn't going to force The Jazz's Reigning* Best Player or Favors to come off the bench
-Kanter doesn't force the Jazz into building their "system" around him

The Jazz might momentarily take a step back with the possessions vacuum that Al would leave, but they'll be what they're going to inevitably become sooner, and probably would become a better version of that by virtue of not wasting anymore time.

Only if your team builds itself around Al and his game, but not under any other circumstance (does anyone remember how that experiment went?).
