If Kings decide to trade Jimmer potential suitors are Jazz, Suns

Jimmer in Utah would be a huge distraction and a moderate player.

Not worth the distraction!!! Just say NO!

What distraction? More Jimmer jerseys in the crowd? Not understanding this at all. I don't see how any attention on Jimmer would hurt the team.

The Suns, and Spurs would be a better fit though. I wouldn't have a problem with Jimmer coming off the bench, if it didn't cost too much to get him.
The idea itself of Jimmer on the Jazz doesn't bother me(or really excite me either).

Jimmer might be a distraction but I think he's worth the look. Coming to Utah might re-energize him and give him a second chance. The way things stand now, he's on the road out of the NBA. And we could use a 3-point shooter. That's why we take him; as the 12 or 13th man on the bench, he could fill that specialty role, and if he comes around he could move up in the rotation. Watson and Tinsley only have at best a couple years left. It's a gamble for the future and if it doesn't work, he's only on a rookie contract, maybe we could move him to the Knicks.

There's something about Jimmer that has the same effect on BYU fans that vodka has on the fans of less righteous teams. Ask yourself if you really want to sit in the middle of a stadium of full of drunk Mormons. No thanks.

IMO the real problem with getting Jimmer is it would be one too many gunners on the team. Jefferson is going to shoot the ball. Burks is going to shoot the ball. Favors is going to the shoot the ball. Millsap, Hayward, Mo Williams and Marvin Williams will sometimes shoot. If you add Jimmer to the mix there is too many shooters and not enough facilitators. So If we really move Jefferson maybe the deal makes more sense.

my biggest problem with jimmer is he sucks...

also the jazz would be forced to coddle him(2nd biggest problem) and my third biggest problem is i think his presence may cause KOC to second guess drafting a PG next year

personally, id prefer to gamble actual assets(2nd rounder?, rights to euros, expiring vet) for a player like josh selby over picking up jimmer in exchange for crap...

I'm indifferent. But the fact is we need 3pt shooting and someone who can strech a defense. Mo/Marvin help a little I guess but hardly solve our main problem we need to address in outside shooting. Jimmer could definetly help if the price was right.

You really thing they are giving up on Jimmer after only one season? Is he that BIG of a bust?
Even obvious busts are usually given 2-3 years to get used to the league (sometimes longer *cough* cj).
Hard to believe one shortened season and they will write a lottery pick off for Watson or Bell and a second round pick.

I don't think so. My guess is that after gettin Brooks the Kings will mainly try to use Jimmer as a shooter without having him handle the ball and act like a PG much. Or if Thomas or Brooks get injured, then they'll give Jimmer some PG minutes.

This. I went to a game when the Kings were in town and it was extremely annoying. Cant imagine every game being like that.

I would like to have Jimmer on this team. I was listning to DJ and PK talk about this idea......not sure it can happen. I tend to agree with them that we should keep the GS pick, can't trade our own pick for 2 years, and would we really give away Milsap or Jefferson for Jimmer? I think the only senario is if they will take a sign and trade for CJ. Don't think they are THAT supid.

The Jazz should be able to trade their own first-round pick next year. My understanding of the rule is that it only applies to the future, meaning they couldn't trade both their 2013 and 2014 picks now, but could trade one or the other.

Every game wouldn't be like this. Lots of BYU fans came when the Kings were in town because those were the only 2 times they could see Jimmer. The impact wouldn't be as noticeable spread out over 43 games counting the preseason.
