Prodigy's 2011-2012 Alec Burks mix

This burks mix is my favorite.

He so smooth. Lots of speed, good size, confidence, intensity, chip on the shoulder, athletic, great finisher. Only weakness in my opinion is he struggles to fight through screens, and his shot needs more arch.

The Burks mix is cool, but I don't think it beats the Hayward or Kanter mix though.

As far as Burks goes as a player though....
I think he'll go down soon as one of the complete steals of last years draft.
The guy should've went a lot higher, and he obviously has a better jumper then everyone predicted.
He's the tough guy the Jazz needed, and like you said.... plays with a huge chip on his shoulder.

He's versatile, long, athletic, and has that quirky it factor to tie it all off.

Not saying he's the next D Wade but their offensive games are similar. Both are good at getting to the hoop and getting to the line. Neither is a great three shooter, and both can handle the rock.

Yes, but Wade's game is highly dependent on his post up game. Not sure I've ever seen Burks post up.

I dont think wade's game is HIGHLY dependent on posting up. When i think dwayne wade i think slasher/penetrator, who gets to the line alot.

Also probably part of the reason you haven't seen burks post up much is because he hasn't even PLAYED very much.

Oh and in your post you say that you haven't ever seen burks post up but if you watch the video mix again you will actually see him post up boobie gibson. And if you watched the 31 point game he had in summer league he posted up down low and received a pass from kanter then made a nice spin move from the post postition for a nice reverse layup.

Good points. I agree with all of it. But posting up doesn't just refer to being right under the basket...you can post someone up from the perimeter too, and Wade is very good at it. I.e. playing with your back to the defender, then spinning past them etc. That's something I'd like to see Burks incorporate into his game more.
