Okay, I think I finally have it figured out:
-BYU has a 28 year old Nat'l Championship, Utah does none.
-BYU's QB is vastly superior to Utah's QB, mostly because he is a "gamer", while Utah's QB will likely suffer a season ending injury taking a leak before the first game.
-BYU has multiple individual trophy winners, Utah has none.
Therefore: BYU is, irrefutably, a better football team than Utah.
Okay, got it. Thank goodness I didn't go put any money on Utah over BYU this year. I didn't realize how dire the sitch was.

Is everyone from BYU socially awkward? Just found out one of my teachers is a grad student from BYU and the guy has to be the most awkward person I have ever had talk to a crowd.
I think the socially awkward people are more likely to attend grad school at any school. And in my experience at BYU the majority of people were socially normal minus the social drinking.

It's a different crowd. Lucky for me I was married when I went there. But the few social things I did there (study groups) were enough to convince me it's a different ballgame there. Everything seems geared toward marriage. I would say it's not a BYU thing, it's a white-collar LDS thing.
I'm glad we stopped you before you placed your 401K down on the game.
$100 is a lot to lose when you have bad information.
By the way, there are a few other reasons you missed.
- BYU players are livin right on and off the field.
- Ute fans pour beer on opposing fans and parents.
- The whole Ute organization and tribe are classless.
- Pac12 stickers, need I say more.
- Those BYU videos are awesome, that guy in chains scares me.
- Ute players have no respect for the Haka.
- Utah is a research university, so they must suck at football.
- The UofU is now against the LDS Church as is seen by their acceptance into the anti LDS conference.
- BYU players are out for revenge and have now placed UofU logo's in their urinals.
If you bet on the Utes, don't go all in.

Not football related, but I figured it's as good a thread to bring it up as any:
I've got a buddy at work who's daughter attends BYU. About a year ago he told me there was a minor problem at BYU with some students going down to Vegas to get quickie marriges so they could have sex without breaking the honor code, then turning around and quickly annulling/divorcing and going on about their business. I found the story strange and not very believeable on a few levels, but the guy is LDS, and extremely pro-BYU so I couldn't really write it off as just a slanderous rumor either.
Urban legend? Silly rumor? Something that was actually happening? Can anybody please shed some light on this for me so I can finally sleep at night?
