What can you tell me about them?

I'm watching Falling Skies this past week to fill in the gap until Dexter, Homeland, and Walking Dead start up.

Revolution and Last Resort look interesting. I never watch tv shows until they've been on a couple seasons and I can get them on DVD though.

Also, what is this thread doing in the political discussion forum?

See above for Revolution.

Arrow is a super-hero series, basically the Green Arrow.

Falling Skies is getting quite awesome... I didn't start watching until Season 2 though. I need to get Netflix or something so I can watch Season One.

What's Homeland about?

Besides Breaking Bad, Homeland is the best thing on TV right now. Think 24 but better and a lot less cheesy with really good acting.

Dang it, just realized it's on Showtime... I don't have any premium channels (HBO, Showtime, Skinemax). Maybe I should think about subscribing to one.

What's Homeland about?

A soldier has been help captive by al-Qaeda for years, and is finally found during a US raid of a compound.
When he comes home a CIA agent begins to suspect he has been turned.

It's a well acted show with some suspence, twists, and good sex scenes. I had to mention the sex, because the sex is sometimes
awkward, and intense. There are some good websites to watch the shows online. Check it out.

Not worth it imo. I do enjoy recording lots of movies when there are free previews of the movie channels though.

I forgot to add that the only new show I want to watch is Revolution. It seems like it's been a while since I've followed anything other than the Jazz or singing competitions (The Voice, X Factor) on TV. In fact, I think the last non-sports non-reality show I really follwed was Prison Break. So hopefully Revolution is good and will last a few seasons.

EDIT: I lied. I've actually watched the Office pretty consistently, even though it seems like I keep hoping each new season will be its last.

Following the "A=B, B=C, therefore A=C model" my takeaway from this is that Rev likes akward, intense sex.

What is the previous for Revolution? Sounds like a history show.

It is based off a series of books. Not sure how closely though.

Int he books something happens on nantucket island (called "The Change") back east and all higher laws of physics stop. Combustions engines to longer work. Even ones built from scratch. Anything more advanced than steam engines no longer work. So an apocalypse happens and it deals with how people survive.

In the series there is a medieval empire set up around Portland (original bad guys that reform to goodish guys) Clan McKenzie (based on old clan type crap) and the "Bearkillers" in Oregon and into Idaho, , New Deseret (utah) Boise Federation, Indian tribes, CUT (bad guys), then stuff further east. CA is a death zone as is the entire east coast.

Basically America is done adn 20ish little types of life spring up, clans, tribes, mideval empirs, federations. Has nordic, scottish, indian, english ties to the old ways..

There is evena group called the Dunedain Rangers (from Lord of the Rings) that spring up. There own sign language and language based off "elvish"

Pretty good stuff.
