God Deniers

Considering that the same situation with a heterosexual person doesn't have the same punishment, I don't see how anyone (other than the typical right wing bigots) could see it as anything but anti-homosexual.

EDIT: Not sure if true, since they were only recently willing to recognize the homosexual HIV spreading strategy being used by soldiers.

What PearlWatson has done is taken a couple of provisions, mixed them together, ignored other provisions like "repeatedly" having homosexual sex as a death-penalty offense, and presented that as the actual law itself. Plus what Nate505 said.

I told him the part you intentionally left out.

Take the consensus encyclopedia's word for it; 3 American Christians are responsible for this "anti-homosexual" law since they spoke in Uganda only 1 month prior to passage.

Why are you acting like I made you wish I would choke?

Learn to take responsibility for your own actions.

No you illiterate douche, I'm telling you that I got my three infractions for making a fake trade Al thread, pronouncing my gay love for Gordon, and posting a picture of my poop, respectively. You had no factor in my punishments whatsoever. Keep dreamin

I don't disagree. And I'm not picking a fight with you either--I really enjoy your participation here. I think it's safe to say that we have different perspectives/experiences about Evangelicals etc, which has been established in earlier threads. You see them as much more benign than I do. When I say 'them' I am not referring to any person in particular, but to those active in the Evangelical political movement on what I consider the extremist, but highly influential, wing of the Republican Party. Taken on a person by person basis, those in the group will share the same general tendencies as any other large group, that is, a wide variety of personalities and other characteristics. But I don't think that there is any doubt that, as a group, their political and social preferences are not not very, well, progressive.

Hard to argue with this. As the extreme edge of about every group can claim the same.

Really? Must have been quite graphic.

That's what I wanted to know.

Since I did not list any of the offense specifically covered, you decided to lie about scope of the targets of the bill. Agreed.

Take the consensus encyclopedia's word for it; 3 American Christians are responsible for this "anti-homosexual" law since they spoke in Uganda only 1 month prior to passage.

The use of "since" in that statement is also a lie. It is true that the 3 Americans spole in Uganda a month prior to passage, it is not true that is the primary reason why they are assigned culpability.

As a firm believer in a higher power, I feel it is absurd for any politician to bring Gordon into anything. Separation, fools. Get some.

Why do I have a feeling that all of the right wingers who blame/hate Islam for all of the worlds woe are the same people that don't get it that they're doing the same thing, but simply swapping out Islam for Christianity. Stop making wars because of your God. Stop killing in the name of your God. Stop using God as an excuse to flex your peen. God doesn't give a damn if his name is on the dollar bill, nor does he give a damn if there is a cross on the side of the highway. I say again, separate yourselves, dammit.

To deny something, it first must be true.

Unless I missed something, no god has ever been proven to exist. Because the veil is important for... stuff. Aaand... uhhh... mysterious ways and stuff. Cuz... yeah. Take that.

But getting serious for a moment, anyone quoting Coulter as a means to do anything but get a laugh are waiving a giant white flag.

You should start a band and write lyrics about how there is no Gordon, etc. I bet you would end up on some wicked tours, etc. and young stupid people will buy that **** up. I'd probably rock it in my Prius, to be honest.

Capital idea, chap!

UPDATE: Just skimmed the thread. How did this thread get to 11 pages? Pretty tame stuff.

Gotta love the God debate. Nobody knows for sure, but yet somehow everyone is so certain.

Myself, I find it hard to believe in a god but I haven't ruled it out. Scientists can study the **** out of everything, but will never be able to answer the why question.

It's easy to deny god when everything is going fine , but when life gets to be its hardest I think almost everyone starts searching for a god. If you have ever come close to death or had a family member on their death bed, you know what I mean. Lets say you have your own five year old child hanging on to dear life. You telling me you aren't praying. If you say no, I say you are a liar, or have never experienced something like that. Just wait, those days will come, I can assure of that.

It's hard to believe in a god because it just seems too good to be true. A god that cares for us or is at least personal and good? Life after death with cosmic justice?

If we didn't live in this life, then this world would be too good to be true. I know by definition it isn't too good to be true since it is true, but you get the point. Imagen telling a child in a womb of a mother about this world. Talking about trees, and water, and mountains, and food etc. It would sound too good to be true.

So answer which god took care of USA ambassador in Libya who was killed by muslim extremists? He most likely believed in god... and was killed in the name of god as well.

Nobody knows for sure.

Disagree. Some people know without a doubt. However, those who know are almost certainly not the people who claim such.
Existence, in the least. As for details, I doubt anyone has all the answers. Those few who truly have discovered their own truth, are well aware that this is something that each and every one of us have to discover for ourselves in or own time. It's not something for man to try and convince another of. Everyone has their own path and own timeline to seek out their own personal truth. The way it should be.

You have no idea how smug, stupid, arrogant, and ignorant that little screed is. You seem to think that because you have this deep feeling that some spiritual Santa claus exists, so does everyone else. You're wrong.

No, I didn't pray when my kids went to the hospital, nor my mother. I didn't consut with astrologist or spirit medium. I didn't place crystals all over the place. I consoled my family, and was consoled by them.
