What's new

Call me a homer a thousand times

This is all very preliminary. Very.
I'm going to be with Cuz again on Saturday and hope to know more details about what's going on.. As well as make a pitch, again.

Again, NOTHInG is Tuesday. Recheck the thread.

Also for whatever this is worth, Kanter could use a situation like Sacramento (infinity minutes) and Sacramento could use a young talent like Kanter (a sweetheart with a huge *****).

So you are saying that a swap like that makes sense?

Getting confirmation from high level Norwegian sources that Ty Corbins job IS in jeopardy if we land Cousins.

Don't quote me on this but my take from it is that Corbin's input won't be asked for on a Cousins deal. I did NOT take this to mean that Corbin WOULD be fired if we land Cuz, just that he doesnt necessarily have a seat at the decision table.

**** me things are moving fast. It all comes down to Tuesday.

Hmm?

Essentially. Jazz would definitely have to sweeten it somehow (I'd be reluctant to include Burks or Hayward since the perimeter talent on the Jazz is still shaky and I've already voiced my thoughts on Favors and Millsap). Kanter, GS pick, own pick, Jefferson, Watson?

I'd be okay with Kanter + GS pick. That's a pretty good offer, IMO.

The good news is that I don't think that the Kings want or need Burks or Hayward. They already have too many guys that play the same position as those two. Kanter and the GSW pick seems like a fair swap at this point.

I will still rather take on some salary and shed Jefferson instead.

By the way, I still really like Kanter. I'm not sure if the league-wide value is there, unfortunately. Would be interested what non-Jazz fans think.

Can't speak to what GM's believe, but several of the scouts i've known for years think he's misused and just need the right team. That feeling is not as common as u may think, btw. These are paid scouts, not casual fans. I think his value is pretty good.

Kanter/Jefferson/1st rounder seems like a pretty good package to me if Sacramento is going to open the lines/start making calls.

But this is the Kings that we are talking about. They just seem to be able to be convinced of someone within 5 minutes and they are willing to throw out anything to get them.
