Sorry, DeMarre.

Players eliminated so far:

ROUND 1) Roger Braille

ROUND 2) Earl Watson

ROUND 3) Kevin Murphy

ROUND 4) DeMarre Carroll

Here it is jazzfanz, the return of Utah Jazz Survivor.

The game is pretty simple. Each round you will vote one player off the team. This will help determine who jazzfanz considers to be the Jazz' best assets.

Things to consider:

Length and terms of contract, player's potential, player's trade value.

For example, Big Al might be a better NBA player than Enes Kanter at this moment, but who is more valuable to the Jazz as an asset?

crap, i for some reason was thinking evans was gone so i voted for tinsley instead of evans. not that it matters -- those two are probably next in some order anyway.

in wonder if this is the round where al gets voted off because the tinsley/evans crowd has a hard time picking one and we split the vote. like how ross perot screwed daddy bush by watering down the republican vote and essentially handed clinton the election.

I hope so.

I voted Randy Foye. Tinsley is a known to me. Randy Foye might turn into another Roger Braille

Still voting for the person who has yet to contribute anything worthwhile to the team (who isn't a new addition)

Evans

i like the odds of handing more playing time to our up and coming stars this round..... lets get ride of jefferlog..

hey, i'm as big an anti-al guy as there is. i would trade him tomorrow if it were up to me. but as long as he's on the roster, he's in the top half of the team at least as an asset. even if we agree that his raw contributions don't help the team out as much as some empirical measures suggest, he is the leading scorer + rebounder on a playoff team and he's an expiring contract.

there is no right/wrong methodology for these rankings, but the way i look at it is this: if this player were hit by a bus tomorrow and we lost them with nothing in return... would i notice? would i care? would i celebrate? how much impact would it have? would i rather we get some compensation for losing this player, or would i just shake the bus driver's hand?

if roger braille got abducted by aliens in his sleep, i would send the aliens a thank-you card. if aliens abducted murphy or carroll or tinsley or evans, i wouldn't really care too much. if they abducted al, i'd be stoked for favors' development and for what it'd mean for our future overall, but i'd also be thinking, "dang, we could have at least used him to get a draft pick or a talented backup from some other team."

THAT's why i won't be voting for al until after some of these "who cares" guys are voted off. you do what you want, obviously, but that's why i am saving him for later despite having been very vocal about wanting al off our team.

I want Big Al gone as much as the next guy, but come on....

I'll be very disappointed in jazzfanz if he goes before Tinsley and Evans.

"I want big al gone as much as the next guy, but..."

"I'm just as anti-Al as the rest of you, but..."

No actually you aren't. Stop trying to join the Jazzfanz Al haters club if you don't practice what you preach!

check my record on this subject... my position is pretty clear.

i just wouldn't give him away for nothing if i thought i could get something, that's all. same way i felt about boozer toward the end of his jazz days. (and what did we get for boozer? oh yeah, that's right: jefferson.)

The Al Jefferson hatred on this board is irrational. I wonder what everyone's potential reaction be when we re-sign him for big bucks?

Tough between Evans and Tinsley, but I just like how well Tinsley managed the 2nd unit last year, while Evans seemed to regress.

I still have hope for Evans though, especially if that jumper he kind of had during his rookie season can make a comeback.
