Help! What should I do? Seriously...

I think I have the end of a q-tip stuck in my ear but I'm not positive. I pulled one out and the end was off of it and it feels like there's something in there but I can't get it with my fingertips or even feel it. I'm afraid I may have pushed it in. What should I do? MsSerp's not home. Wait for her and if she can't get it with tweezers, go to the emergency room?

Does it hurt? Are you bleeding?

If no and no then let your balls drop, man up and wait for her to get home.

This thread is awesome. Here's Portman.

hmmm, those q-tip's don't seem to be of high quality. to use tweezers doesn't sound very intelligent, she might have problems to see something. doctors do usually have special loupes for the ears to see everything better, so it might make sense to see a doctor. but don't panic, it's not a big deal. she should only use a tweezer if she really can see something... wait until she comes back and don't panic as long as it doesn't hurt much and there is no blood.

one time i had alot of ear wax in my ear. i used hot water to melt it down. then i used a good q-tip to clean it out... then i felt all better. id suggest washing out your ear as well w..i..t.... actually maybe not i think the Q-tip will soak up the water and make it harder to get out... never mind, i am no help at all. sorry.

Sounds like I should go to an urgent care center.

If your insurance is gonna cover it, that's what I would do. Otherwise I would wait for my wife. My wife is a nurse though. Do you have skype? I can help you get it out via skype, can't be that difficult.

i wouldn't wait much longer, especially since using a tweezer can make everything worse. even if she sees it, there is no guarantee that she gets it out. you could make a small deal to a big deal. so go to the ER and let the doctor end this before it gets more of a big deal by waiting longer or doing something wrong like using any liquids. if you have a loupe at home and the end of the q-tip is not further inside and she has calm hands, she could try it at home but it's always wiser to let a doctor do his job! btw, get well soon!

first, stop sticking q-tips in your ears. They aren't for the inside of your ears. They are more likely to push the wax deeper in the ear than get it out.

Try using a bugger sucker/baby ***** bulb with warm water. If that doesn't work, urgent care or Dr's office (if you can get in tomorrow).
