Let's see what would be the rules or restrictions put on a trade for big al
- not taking a salary back that straps the jazz to resigning our rookies
- a trade for just draft picks is a hard sale and we don't need more infusion of young players
- a pg and or sf are the biggest need (although I am liking Marvin more and more)
- we would still need to get back a 4th big because millsap, favors and kanter can't hold down the fort
- teams who will look at him will either be dumping salary or have a need at the 4/5 or are looking for depth for a playoff push.
So who is going to trade big al?
The trade with Chicago makes the most sense Jefferson for Noah.

The time to trade or amnesty Jefferson for nothing was 20 games into last season where the Jazz clearly saw they had nothing good going except the possibility of a #5 & 8 draft pick. They should have gotten rid of him and Harris then, and set this team up for the future:

Favors, Kanter
Plus plenty of cap space to sign everyone they did this last summer, and then some.
