What's new

Big Brother is Watching You

Why don't you just open up your cute little DVR or DVD player. There's been microphones and cameras in those devices for years.
Let's not even get into smartphones that watch and listen to everything you do, and electronically profile you through key words and actions that are not only stored in your carriers database, but the governments as well.

I'm guessing you're new to the fact that you're watched 24/7, unless you go completely Amish.
But then the FDA will just raid your farm (with guns drawn) that produces raw milk and cheeses ;-)

I have a better device than DVR in my living room behind the TV: Kinect. It can even identify my movements!

no no noo of course no my friend. it's not that we are new to the fact that we are being watched 7/24. the cops' sight will be recorded like a fps game. I don't know about Utah but it could be easily abused in many places I know. cops are mostly people with inferiority complex whom where given guns in their holsters and think that they rule the ****in world.

as a matter of fact, I felt like I was being watched even when I was pissing in those photocell urinals. NOT KIDDING. I feel better now.

Stupid Spypad, quit watching me.

I give the finger to the camera about every ten minutes. Justin Case.

Someone needs to invent more products with Cameras on them to use against the police. Like a camera system built into your car to record your interaction with police. But not made by the car company, and not connected to the internet.

This kind of stuff is only good for the brief moments of the post event voyeurism footage that we get to see on Youtube. I don't think 30 seconds of humor or whatever pleasure is worth the tradeoff. I'm not buying the fact that cameras increasing civility via the threat of the interaction being used against you later is a good thing. How about we have real meaningful interactions with cops and don't dehumanize them further and make us even less wanting to interact with them than we already are. Cops wearing stop snitching shirts will be in vogue in a few years.

It is really creepy when you don't use it... Like somebody may be watching you. I sometimes feel this way, really, and I'm not paranoid.

Yeah no doubt. I've actually seen the lights and camera move before, when the X-Box wasn't even on. I know they're supposedly using it as a way of personalizing advertisement to their customers, and that's not something I want to be a part of anyway.

Funny how if you try and record a police officer, 9 times out of 10 they'll tell you it's illegal and to turn it off. Sometimes they'll try to confiscate your phone or whatever.
They're specifically trained that we are the surfs, and we have no right to record them or tell them no whatsoever.

9 out of 10 huh? Where did you get that nugget?
