On the viewing I have seen of this kid, (which is somewhat limited), he seems to be a great prospect at PG for the jazz.

Surely teams have a real chance of getting him away from the clippers with the fact the paul has the PG spot cemented.

He might not be a pass first PG, as he does like to score, but he does have good passing and penetrating skills which in my view are better than both Mo and foye. There is no doubt that he is super quick and has serious hops.

His production in limited minutes has been very good lately, as has been his +/-.

I am interested to hear other peoples views on his ability to execute pick and rolls etc.

It would be nice to fit our young talls with a young PG to develop together.

What would people give up to get him?

I would give up a milsapp or Al for him. Would that get him? You would think so.

It all seems unlikely tho as we already have got two pg's from the clippers - could we really get 3 from them??

He's been discussed a lot here. I'm not sure Al or Paul would get him .. pretty sure it's a definite no. I think a lot of teams could use him.
I'm very, very high on the kid and would give up Sap and the GSW pick.

Yes, he is one of the top two that I have in the "official point guard thread" (I need to update that). The other is Jeff Teague, whose winning % is absolutely off the charts. Basically with Teague, you get someone who can run the team quite a bit better, and his defense is solid. With Bledsoe, you get someone who can do it all, except for long range shooting (so far) and assist the ball (why would a pg need to do that?). I don't want Bledsoe at this stage (with our current makeup) because he makes Mo look like Stockton assists-wise, and I think we need a PG that can run the team. However, if you paired Bledsoe with someone like James Harden or Manu Ginobili, he would be an incredible complement and do what he does best: play defense, score the ball, be active, and star athletically. Team makeup is very important for a player like Bledsoe IMHO. He also gets to the rim a ton, and this is skill in its own right, allows bigs to get offensive rebound putbacks.

It would be dumb for the Clippers to trade him with Paul being in the final year of his contract. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Bledsoe restricted free agent. That gives us a good chance to sign him to an offer sheet. If Paul resigns with the Clips, we won't have to over spend to get Bledsoe as the Clips probably wouldn't want to spend too much on a backup pg. And remember we will have plenty of $ to spend.

I like Bledsoe quite a bit and would happily give up any 2 piece combination of Al, Millsap, Burks, and GS pick for him.

I wasnt quite up to speed with Cp' s situation, it makes absolute sense from them to wait to see if CP extends or not.

I also thought bledsoe was a more natural passer than mo, but i have not watched bledsoe enough to justify that opinion.

Not saying Bledsoe is anything like Foster, I just remember a time when everybody on this board wanted to trade for Jeff freaking Foster.

Of course he's overrated he's young and full of that thing called POTENTIAL. Relaxwe aren't trading for him, but there is a potential to sign him as a free agent. I agree that we don't need to trade and give up one of our vet bigs plus the GS pick. That's too high a price for someone that is unproven all be it with loads of potential. The question is how much do you offer him as a free agent?
