Corbin is not Sloan!!! Did you follow the link? He's made Foye earn every second of his playing time by riding Corbin like a Wyoming Cowboy every night. Corbin rules!! And we have solved the coaching problem for every head coach in the NBA. Don't play your players; make them "earn it". Done, eat your heart out, Phil Jackson.

Yes, yes, waah, how can you prove you can provide more towards winning if you never play. Practice. We never see the practices and I imagine that Burk's athleticism shows up in practice.

Are you really implying that these are the only two times he's done this ****? I'm trying to be patient with Corbin, but multiple seasons are giving me the impression that he has the coaching intellect of a doddering old fool. Hence the Depends.

Corbin really doesn't know how to use matchups to his advantage. Al Jeff is probably the worst player on the Jazz right now. Stick Millsap/Favors lineup and Utah would score a lot more inside then in currently does with Jefferson.

Corbin gets burned by opposing coaches using matchups against us. (Boston game, Miami game, SAS game) He doesn't show when we can exploit a mismatch and then we get burned as the opposing coach out coaches him. I'm not saying he is the worst coach in the NBA, but he certainly doesn't make a case for being a good coach. No reason we shouldn't be playing Sap, Carrol, Favors, Haywood, Burks or Watson way more than Jefferson. In fact, I would like Jefferson a lot more if he came off the bench with Kanter.

If Foye plays well, then I have no problem with Corbin. However, Foye does one thing: shoot outside jumpers. He is a defensive liability that has been exploited time and time again. I am not sold on Burks, but Foye is the absolute worst on our team when it comes to team +/- on net points https://www.82games.com/1213/1213UTA1.HTM. Stats don't matter to Corbin though. He is the ultimate Luddite coach.

Finally an asistant coach stepped up and showed the right way to Corbin at least on one basic thing that Corbin couldn't able to see. Everyone who watched the game probably choose the path B, cause they probably saw Lowe's and Mo's rush and struggle to point out that a sub is required to Corbin. Maybe they are not that much "three monkeys".

Funny stuff. When Crayon missed the first shot, I was wondering to myself if Corbin was going to do anything. Then Vaughn, the youngest coach in the NBA subs in a rebounder and it takes the entire coaching staff plus Mo Williams to figure out it might be a good idea to counter the move.

I've always said Corbin is a reactive coach - he can't think on his feet; but this illustrates it perfectly. I've come to expect stuff like this.

I have coached for 15 years in addition to playing and the first thing a coach does is take advantage of mismatches. There is no if and or buts about it. Corbin sucks at this. The most elementary thing a coach does.

If you and your assistants can't figure out what to do during half-time, then you sure as hell can't figure it out while the game is being played.

They're supposed to know how to coach the game by the time they become Head Coach. Sure, they don't know it all and they'll continue to learn the nuances until they retire; but a rookie coach damn well better have a steep learning curve or he has no business being a head coach. Corbin has been the head coach for going on two years, and he's no better today than when Sloan quit.
