Anytime I've had personal knowledge of something in the news it's shocking how different that reality is. But the news report is based mostly on the police report and at that the news reporter can't make accusations or take hearsay to accuse someone of wrong doing. The guy in the RV most likely claimed he was trying to get the heater working because he was cold "and all of the sudden there was a fire in my RV." Maybe calling him the owner was just an assumption since he was in the RV.

The first link took me to a fishing forum, and the 2nd link was just a generic news story that said an RV caught fire.

It's too long of story to re-type. The fishing forum link (1st one) has the story. Dave didn't save the day, but may have saved some bum's life and he's raising some money for the dude who lost property with no insurance.. you should read it, though, when you spring for a computer one day.

Wow Dave!

I fish this harbor quite often. The owner provides an excellent service to the community but is screwed on the business end competing with government. It shows too, because the place is a dump despite the owner's best efforts to keep it up & improve it. Good enough for my standards though.

Anyone interested in charity through business can hit me up in the spring for a whitie slaughter (or carp bashing if you're into that).
 
Thanks guys. Hopefully I can make it to the library in the next couple days and use the free computers there to read the full story.
