Harpring reported on the radio that favors is 100% healthy from the planar facaitis(?). He needs to play more.

Burks is showing us that most of us were correct in saying that he should have been playing. Good thing mo went down with injury or else i would still be bumping the free alec burks thread after every game.

So it is again an example of Ty having his hand forced instead of willingly making these changes. How much better would it have been with a healthy Mo and then Ty playing Burks with Hayward and Foye on the second unit?

It would have been much much better if he had gotten burks playing time since day 1 of his rookie year IMO.
Now if we had a really good player at the 2 guard position or back up point taking his minutes then i would never have criticized corbin... however IMO raja, cj, josh howard, foye, tinsley and watson are not what i would call "really good" players
 
My reasoning all along for the playing time of alec burks being alot higher was that he is so unique to our team. He does things that no one else on the team does and corbin should have been able to find a way to use those unique talents from day one.
Take tonights game as an example. The hawks have teague and lou williams. Both players that are extremely quick and will destroy some of our slower wing defenders. Burks is a good player to put on those type of guys defensively.
And then you have his offensive abilities thrown into the mix and it is mind boggling that he was not playing in the rotation all along.
People will say that he hadn't earned it, but most of us saw him earn it last year, offseason, and pre-season and we could see that he could help the team.

I was so upset when burks didn't get much play at the beginning of the season, and couldn't believe the number of poster saying, he hasn't deserved it yet!!
 
this is a tougher game than some are making it out to be. atlanta is a good home team and will be hungry. it is a can-win game, but far from a should-win game.

one little fun fact is that jazz have won 4 out of their last 5 but the 4 they have won were teams under .500 the one team the last 2 was denver who is over .500, thisgame will help us jazz fans tell if our team has really improved.

This. I fully expected to go in and lose this game when looking at the schedule last month. The Fact that the Hawks are on a little skid right now doesn't make them a bad team. They still have a winning record (20-14) and are 4th in the East.

Though I agree with you rather than their home record our road woes will be more of a factor.
 
Expecting a loss here, but would love a win. We are playing better of late so who knows.

A win tonight, and we have officially turned a corner.
 
I say we win, with Favors healthy and Kanter seeming to have recovered from his ankle as well. ATL doesn't have depth at the bigs, lets hope we can dominant the paint for a second straight game, Kanter and Favors should be able to wear them out down low.
