Is there any chance we can get Vasquez? Do we want Vasquez? He can't be under contract for too much longer, because I think he is in his 3rd year.

His assist numbers are impressive and he is improving offensively.

Too bad Austin Rivers sucks ***, or I think the Hornets would actually be willing to trade him.

Something like Millsap and our 1st rounder for Vasquez and Jason Smith (decent backup big).

Would Jazzfanz approve of that trade? Would Hornets approve of that trade?

That trade doesn't work financially though for the Hornets, they would be taking on too much money. A 3rd team would have to be brought in to balance trade.

I'd love to get him, good young PG...and he's big. However, New Orleans isn't giving him up, he is hot right now...we could have gotten him in the off season if we would have tried to trade Millsap or Jefferson, now...not so much

I like him, he's on my fantasy team, got him on the CHEAP. I've watched him a few times out of interest and basically this is how I would describe him:
Pretty slow for a point guard, doesn't blow by anyone, rather, he has nice change-of-pace, change-of-direction moves to get free. Really has nice runners and finds the big guys down low, is able to get to the middle of the defense, doesn't just run the offense by bouncing around the outside. Pretty solid outside shot.

Downside: has a really tough time guarding quick guards. I watched Roderique Beaubois blow by him a whole bunch of times against the Mavs the other day.

Yeah if Austin Rivers didn't suck so much, we'd have a legit chance.
I'm sure Grevis is one of their building pieces

I've liked him on the offensive end when we play them . He has the best win % of anyone on the Hornets. He could be a 15 & 10 guy, has good size, and is a great defensive rebounder for his position.

The question is how he would be on D. If his defense is about that of Jose Calderon, then you're talking about a slightly worse shooting Jose Calderon that is bigger and younger. He would probably be an upgrade on Mo, and we would have a 6'6" PG, 6'8" SG, 6'9" SF, 6'10 PF, and 6'11" C. That is with Hayward, Marvin, Favors, and Kanter, but who knows who will re-sign. Jason Smith is a decent back up big as well. I would probably do it but might prefer Jefferson if possible.

He is a great young PG. He is finally getting palying time and figuring things out. I'd love to have him...but the Hornets would be stupid to trade him. He's got one more year left after this one, and he's signed for under 2 mil. Pretty cheap. He is part of their future, I doubt they'd trade him. BUT if we can make the trade I say we do it in a heartbeat

Agree. No way we trade for him, unless we give a ridiculous offer

enes kanter for vasquez

Nola gets the future frontcourt
enes gets PT.
We get rid of tinsley and watson
more pt for favors.

Millsap is still a better player than Vasquez. They could extend him once they got him. Paul is from Louisiana, so I'm sure he wouldn't be opposed to signing with them long term. Just not sure how he would be next to Davis, since Davis isn't a center.
