I think we can all agree there's not much hope of finishing better than 7th. And the chances of missing the playoffs seem equally slim. Portland is struggling along at .500 and the Lakers might eventually be playing with Kobe and a bunch if D-Leaguer's with all the injuries they've had.

So do the Jazz have a better chance of losing by less than 20 pts. for one of their home games against SA or OKC?
 
.....with no resemblance of any type of structured offense whatsoever, and a defense that leaks oil more than a Chevy Corvair, we would be swept by either team but could probably keep a home game close with the Thunder they have some stupid basketball players who have thrown their brains to the hogs!
 
The Jazz are 7-17 against teams above .500. 24th in the league. I predict losses to both teams.
 
I always hate when people put a humorous third option. Ruins the entire point of a poll.

I voted OKC. No way we beat SAS. No way we beat OKC either, but might as well try something new this time.

Really wish we could play LAC.
 
my son was craving cheese and so we went and bought some different kinds of soft cheese, and came home with this aged havarti that was just to die for.

And I'd love the lottery if given the choice between OKC, SA, and Cheese/lotto.

Against SA? We'd easily be swept with probably at least 3 of the games being decided by double digits. Pops is our daddy and Duncan owns us.

Against OKC we'd be swept but probably at least 2 of the games being competitive as Westbrook and Perkins might be in the top 5 dumbest players in the league. King Cousins is by far #1 with Prince World Peace in a distant #2. Toolbag D. Howard is doing is best to try and crack this famous group....
 
I'd rather face OKC.
We may win one game with OKC but for that to happen, Westbrook would have to go 3 for 40 which I think he's stupid enough to do.

If they had a better coach they would be fighting for 4/5th.
 
I picked the Spurs. The Jazz would/will struggle mightily in either matchup, but given Duncan's knee issues the past few weeks compared to a healthier, younger Thunder team, I say bring on the Spurs! That's assuming the only options are facing the Spurs of the Thunder.

I don't see the Jazz making it past 5 games against any of the WC playoff teams. Not that it could ever happen, but they'd be lucky to win a game against Houston or GS come playoff time.
 
At least against the Spurs you have the "well, they're old" argument and such that gives us a chance to not get blown out. To me, there's really not an argument like that when going up against OKC. We'd be facing Kevin ****ing Durant. We'd be a post heavy team going up against the team with the best post defense in the league. It's just a recipe for disaster.

Having said that, I'd predict a sweep against either team. Just like last year.

Where's my "yay for mediocrity" t-shirt?

They also have they highest collective basketball IQ in the league. Good defense, smart offense and good shooting will blow the Jazz out everytime. Pops will take Corbin's lunch money and even a crippled Duncan will take Al behind the woodshed.
