Which youngster will make an All Star team first? I'm just curious about what people here think.

I will think about this while I wait for the poll to be posted. At least I'm assuming there will be one.

First to vote. Wow. Anyway, it's going to be Gordon, not because of his overwhelming talent but because he is the most complete player of them all.

Yes, for some stupid reason the current board software posts the initial post before the poll can be created. Didn't used to do that.

I chose none of them.

Its hard enough getting recognized in Utah without being relegated to the bench. They might be allstars. Just not in Utah

I think it'll be Favors or Hayward, but went with Hayward cause he's closer to his ceiling. I have an easier time seeing him put up big scoring numbers if given 36+ minutes right now.

Then again, it's probably easier to become an All-Star as big right now than it is as a wing. I mean, freaking Hibbert has been an All-Star and he's putting up the same stats as Favors right now but does it with more minutes.

I voted for Hayward. I'd rank the rest in this order starting at the soonest to be an All-Star: Favors, Burks, Kanter. I don't see Carroll or Evans as All-Stars ever. Carroll should stick around in the league for a long time though.

As long as if we keep on improving our young guys as Frank Vogel did with Hibbert and Granger, with a good record Utah will have one or two (in seperate years). But we are not doing it swiftly right now. Potential is there but thanks to Crobin it will not be in the time that it should be.

Realistically, Kanter if any of them. Hayward is a good player, but doesn't do All-Star things, like score a lot. He does a lot of little things. Either way, he's not playing at an All-Star level, and I'm not sure he'll ever reach it.
Kanter is going to be one of the few identifiable 20/10 centers in the West with a complete inside-outside game. Coaches could vote him in within a few years.

Burks has enough talent, but he'd have to beat out a bunch of guards, and it's tough.

Favors could eventually get selected, but he's still too raw right now. Still, if Joakim Noah and Tyson Chandler can get in, then maybe Favors can too at some point.

This poll shows the weak side off Jazz fans to white boys. Derrick Favors mother****ers! I would say Alec Burks but there are ****load of athletic guards in the league right now, I don't know when the turn comes to him. Favors is on the other hand so damn explosive that he could explode the entire All-Star weekend.

It'll be Kanter.. mark my word. He's already more advanced offensively than Favors, Hayward and Burks combined. He just doesn't know it yet and not getting minutes he deserves.

I personally voted for Favors, although I kind of buy into the Kanter arguments. If he puts things together, he will likely be a more prolific scorer than Favors, which is often the only thing a lot of voters look for. Other people: I see Hayward as a very good player, but not quite all-star level. I think Burks MIGHT get to that point, but is still too much of a question mark to vote for. And I just threw the other two on the poll for kicks, not because I thought anyone would really vote for them.
