Jay Bilas - badass

It seems like a lot of teams are going to want draft picks and cap flexibility in the summer of '14 due to the free-agent class as well as the draft class. If the Jazz can keep cap flexibility next year, they might be able to make a good move or two with teams looking to shed players. In other words, if there isn't a good deal for Sap or Al available now, there's still value in simply letting them expire this summer in order to set us up for a deal next year.
I like Bilas but he needs to be less transparent and mention the Lance Thomas scandal at least when he's on his soapbox.
Free agency is still "the big unknown" for us I'd say. Our biggest acquisitions over the past decade have been Okur and Boozer, and with Boozer it was dubious at best with big shenanigans with the Cavs.
Yes OK with the new CBA we might be able to attract more talents, but it's not for sure yet. Indiana had HUGE cap space a few years ago and all they got was David West. Enough said.
That's why we're all pretty excited with the Bledsoe rumour. Its our chance of locking up an exciting young player who's just about to reach his peak (i.e., Harden) without having to sell "Utah" to him.
I spoke with Andrew Harrison yesterday, for first time.
Speaks like a professor and is edgy at the same time.
He's not interested in scoring though he knows he can put up 30 if his team needs him to.
I asked if he's not concerned with scoring, what kind of assists is he shooting for.. He said, no goals, whatsoever, but to dominate every game and have an undefeated season.
Kid is special. Going to love watching he and his brother along with James Young sharing a backcourt next year.
Yes. Poythress and Goodwin have really done damage to their draft stocks the past few weeks. Both were considered by scouts to be Top 10 picks before the season began. Poythress still clinging to the end of the lottery. Goodwin now out of it. Cauley-Stein flubbed his first game starting in place of Nerlens Noel. Scouts love the upside, but he's going to have to produce to stay in the lottery.
This came from Chad Ford's chat today:
At this point I want WCS more than Goodwin, but less than Poythress. I know that might not make sense but that's where I'm at.
My dream draft (realistically) would be Saric, WCS and Wolters.
