Looking at Foye, Burks, Hayward, Mo, can the point guard and shooting guard positions be merged into 2 interchangeable positions? Should they be? Has it been done before? TIA.

Clyde was one of the best, outplayed Jerry West in those finals series with the Lakers, and they were often going head-to-head. But then West was in the later stages of his career and Clyde in his prime -- though it also can be argued that West got better as he aged (to a point that is). For example, Robertson was clearly better when they first came in the league but he regressed and West improved and was better than the Big O in the later part of their careers.

dont mean to bring up the knicks again... but.Triangle offense. Jazz should run it against a league so deep in point guards when they don't have one themselves.
dont mean to bring up the knicks again... but.
Remember in 1999, when the 8 seed knicks made the finals and won a game vs the spurs? (i see aspects of both of those teams on this squad but i digress)
That was with a 3 guard triangle, Charlie Ward, Allan Houston, Lattrell Spreewell (our kids will be better than that!)
I'd like to see the triangle a bit, but I still contend that it doesn't matter much what the Jazz do until they obtain elite, versatile talent capable of bailing them out of stagnant sets.
We might as well get used to the offensive growth we have been seeing (some of us anyway) as that's the hand KOC dealt to us. The offense has been getting more dynamic and adding plays by the week. It's kinda sad there's so much angst in jazz nation that's blocking fans from seeing this growth. That'd require warming up to Corbin and swallowing Jefferson's game a bit.
We need a guy who's somewhat of a true point guard but doesn't occupy the ball too much. Someone who can get 7-8 assists while not keeping it out of Burks' hands too much or Hayward's. Those guys need to each get about 3 assists a game as well, and ball movement in general needs to be the focus, not who's doing it.
someone who could get 2steals, 9points, 7 assists, 6rebs and take less than 10 shots in 30mins??
